I use to train at Marcelo’s when Marcos was there and we were doing stand up and it was my turn to go against him. The only thing I kept saying to myself was what you kept saying and that is he is like a tree trunk. Super solid. With that said he was always a gentleman to me . Those were great times .
@zukaBJJ2 күн бұрын
Same! He was very chill - this was the highest level person I’ve ever rolled with who didn’t try to murder me. It was also really cool to get feedback real time and after the roll. This was one of the best travel-training experiences I’ve had. Right up there with AOJ.

Yeah that was pretty cool - this fella had a bunch of tricks I’ve never seen which would make sense considering the calibre of guys he trains with.
@sho.yoshida9 күн бұрын
@@zukaBJJ absolutely. That response was clearly muscle memory from many reps and shows the level of his training room. To break down the execution for commenters: He’s facing the hook which usually makes the hook sweep strong, limp legged (Zuka’s hook sweep now doesn’t lift their hips), then hip switched to turn the limp leg into a knee cut. Super slick sequence.
