@@farmallgray thank you for your quick reply! What was wrong with the mainboard?
@farmallgray3 ай бұрын
@typ.3637 I don't know what was wrong with it. They just go bad. I have had to replace it once or twice since then. You can get upgraded ones that add some extra features. They say moving the built plate manually can damage them because the stepper motors sent a jolt of current back into the board. If you have to move anything do it slowly.

@@farmallgray if you disable steppers does it still damage the board?

Is setup different between 3 pt and sleeve hitch?
@farmallgray9 ай бұрын
Yes. Only the sleeve hitch plows have this adjustment. On the 3 point plows the depth adjustment is done with the 3 point top link.

These small compact tractors, do they have a PTO,
@houstonbrown3450 Жыл бұрын
Does this tractor have a pto ,
@farmallgray Жыл бұрын
It does not have anything in the rear. It just has the front PTO for a mower or snow thrower. They also made an attachment with a long belt running off the front clutch to the rear for a tiller. The longer frame "Super" garden tractor models could be equipped with a 2000 RPM rear PTO. They made a tiller and a rear brush cutter mower that worked with the 3 pt hitch and the rear PTO on those models.

How did the new plow work you had on the 882. We had trouble with setting our plows on the super cubs at pa plow day.

It worked great. I built it last fall and plowed with it in Ohio. I made a few minor adjustments to it for PA. I'm pretty happy with now. I may still put a bigger coulter on and maybe an extension on the moldboard.

Cat 0 plows can be a challenge. Most aftermarket top links are too long to get the point low enough. I may do a video about that later on.

I wish all manufactures had an option for a diesel motor even for the smaller machines. I’ve got 5 old GTs & I wish they all came with a diesel motor from factory, but then again if they did I wouldn’t have gotten em for as cheap as I did.
@farmallgray3 жыл бұрын
While Cub Cadet did build a similar tractor with a diesel engine, this is not one of those. This one is all custom built from a pile of parts. And this engine is nearly double the size. The factory used a .6 liter engine and this is a 1.1 liter.

Yet diesel has very little carbon monoxide, which is odor and colorless. The black stuff is soot, which also comes off of a campfire. Biodiesel needs to be pursued

What transaxle does this tractor have, just wondering where it will handle the power your making, and and if it's the stock transaxle that came in that tractor

It is a Cub Cadet transaxle, but only the housing is stock. The internal parts are all aftermarket. They have to have the valve pockets cut deeper if you get the cam reground so the valves don't hit the pistons. Some guys do go further to lower the compression.
