Is that the bone? Also I’ve cut my shin open a bit and there’s this weird slimy skin that I can pull out and leaves a big hole what is that?
@CactusJackSlade25 күн бұрын
Well, the bone is right there.... but it is actually the sheath that covers the tendons/muscle tissue. It barely bleed more than a few drops the cut was so clean...

The incredible deterioration and cracking and cave-ins pretty much demolishes the narrative that monolithic domes are practically impervious to weather and earth movements.

Thank you, this was actually a "quick edit" but I am transitioning to new editing software now so my future ones should be even better (mainly video smoothness) 🙂

This is super cool, Brian! Excellent "cinematography"! I think if you dubbed in Dave Matthews Band "Ants Marching" as the music, it would be SPOT ON!!! :-)

Yeah, I would love to... but copyright stuff ya know, so I typically use generic music 😕

As an Australian this just baffles me. You see a snake, you understand that your unique and beautiful assortment of atoms, as collated by the great protoplanetary disk that became our Solar System forged you and millions of years of evolution to refine you- could *all* be rendered non-sentient matter in seconds by a snake... ...and you treat it like a slow driver. And you pass with your body on *that* side. Far out. O.O
@CactusJackSlade3 ай бұрын
I totally get what you are saying. For me, I've been around rattlesnakes my whole life. I have probably relocated over 50 rattlesnakes to a different part of our ranch. On this occasion, it was no more than getting him off the trail. Once he was moving along and not coiled, no longer any danger to me 🙂

NICE!! Pretty sure that's the best line there. ;-)

Yeaaaa…nope.

The snake was LITERALLY crossing and “moving along” until this guy whipped out his phone and started approaching. All he had to do was nothing. Then let the snake continue to cross. Instead he caused this situation by approaching 🤦♂️
@CactusJackSlade5 ай бұрын
Actually he was not moving when I saw him, and I was already wearing and filming with a GoPro, so I did not intentionally stop, just to video the snake.

We adopted a gopher snake that patrols our property. We came home one day and my husband put our son down without checking the ground first(we're in rattlesnake country) and when I realized he was running I snatched him up only to see this long huge snake heading right for our front door. I called my husband screaming and he came out right into her path but she did nothing. I told him please just close the door and let her go on her way because my son had been in striking distance, my husband had been in striking distance and she just went right past them both just curious about them both smelled him and slid behind our plants. After putting our son in his play pen inside we came out to see her and she would just check both of us out one by one. Going from one side of the plant to the other looking at him then me so we left her alone. Once we realized she wasn't a rattlesnake, she wasn't leaving our property, and she was the reason that despite being surrounded by mice and rattlesnake we have never had a single one we named her Sandi and thank her everyday for her service...... And being patient with my baby boy that day! We love you Sandi!

any froggies in Froggy Falls???? I feel like I always see at least one frog. (flow seems low for late July... maybe something is holding water back?) Awesome perspective video, by the way!

can you manual focus during the video?
@CactusJackSlade26 күн бұрын
Yes, but that does not really help the thermal imaging, it IS in focus. The thermal sensors are quite expensive and small compared to visible light sensors.
