Ev drivers don't get it. It's not that EV s can't get from A to B. It is easier and more enjoyable to get from A to B in an I.C.E. car than an EV. Also, we all now know that EVs are not as green as we are told, so remind me again, what reason do we need to buy an EV? All EVs are, is a product to replace a product that didn't need replacing. And worse still, the EV product isn't as good as the product its replacing.

Dealers make more ££ on servicing and out of warranty repairs than warranty work. Had a nightmare with a Kia dealer in Treforest, South Wales.Car had no acceleration above 30 mph. They fixed slight leak in radiator by replacing it under warranty but could not find loss of power problem. Would not accept my error codes from a £30 code reader which pointed to air intake mass air flow sensor. They told us it was fixed twice without road testing above 30 mph (I told them issue was from 30 mph accelerating) Drove car home Saturday morning same fault came back, again. After 2 minutes looking into engine bay I noticed inter cooler was bent and possibly leaking / damaged. Dealer replaced inter cooler under warranty (KIA Sorento Diesel) and car fixed, surprise surprise. Don't think ,the comment about their Master Tech went down well or when I asked "when do I start ?" Time for an update on this, diesel engines are better for the enviroment now..lol Manual gearbox is better than automatic, cheaper on replacement parts like clutch plates, it sounds more like you just got hold of a badly looked after voyager with dodgy suspension, bad electrics etcs and now you want to sell it on in a similarly crappy condition. Maybe you should research how they should handle and run before you bought your junk version instead of believing it was in perfect condition and make these claims about how its such a bad car
@DannsBangers
@DannsBangers 6 ай бұрын
Wow, that is some crazy views you have there. The same diesel engine (even though I hate them) was awesome in the TX4 (yes, another junk car but far far better than in every way tan this pile of rubbish) A good car will still be good even when it is old and the Chrysler Voyager will never be a good car, new or old.
@kierangrisenti8373
@kierangrisenti8373 5 ай бұрын
Apart from you buying the voyager in bad condition, mine has the stow n go seats, no need to take seat out as they fold into the floor, I have the automatic with cruise control, also driven the manual version too, neither of the screeched around corners, all electrics work great even with them being nearly 26 years old, so sounds like you bought yours in bad condition and are complaining based on it not being fixed up and not prepared to fix it either. All cars should be looked after, otherwise they have faults and no car would be classed as good being old. And go look up what the environment stats on diesel to petrol engines, they were right to put in diesel engines, and you'll find now the uk is moving away from petrol engines more in comparison to diesel ones. And as its a MPV, they are not designed to be driven vigorously as you put it, they that's probably half your issues why the clutch cable has stretched if that's all it is, and you'll be lucky if that's all it is.

I feel you're failling to understand/deduce why they couldn't assist your car sooner. In all probability, there's only one or two people at that Cardiff Volvo center that are trained to work on Polestars and...it's vacation time. All this lightness coming from Polestar, "Oh!, no worries. Volvo service centers will take care of your car", is all a bunch of crap. Situations like the one you experienced will happen, time and time again, until there are proper, dedicated Polestar service centers. My car is about to arrive, here, in Portugal. I have no illusions about this. That is why, when a saw that the Warranty dispositions in the contract I was about to sign contained a provision that they would not cover loss of transportation if the warranty had to be activated, I made a point of contacting them and turn the verbal "Oh, sure. We will provide you with a replacement, should anything arise" into a formal written statement. I noticed they were a bit put off by it...;)

I agree with you that Polestar have seemed to mess up this Volvo/Polestar split...but, isn't the Polestar based on the Volvo XC40 Recharge? So you are saying that Volvo cannot support Volvo cars. Plus holiday season in the UK really isn't the same as Europe. It really wouldn't have taken much to confirm that there wasn't a problem with it, and the fact that I didn't have to wait until the 11th of August just confirmed it. Whoever was to blame, it was just more difficult than it needed to be and the Volvo garage sucked at politeness, knowledge and customer service.

@@DannsBangers I am just in the process of replacing the sub frame & front suspension on a 2002 Amica( in the same colour as yours), and repainting the underneath. The car has only 25k on the clock , so it should last for another 20 years. The front sub frame & rear suspension attatchment points are the weak spots on these cars.

@@andy530i Thanks for the comment. Well done. They are great cars and deserve someone to look after them. I hope you get many years from it

I checked the scrap price with a few companies and they were coming back at about £100. I guess metal prices aren't what they used to be
