Yeah i have never trusted anything held together with a bolt at the end of the tang. If its not a complete full tang sword i dont want it. Its a nice looking one but not a true sword being held together by fake tang bolt. Lets just say in a real imoact if it ever came down to it its gonna fall apart long before a traditional made sword

1:05 - 1:14 Well, According to Tolkien, There was no mention about plate armor like what we saw in the movies or TV Show, because in the Books the majority of the armor the people of Middle Earth wore was just either chainmail or scale armor instead of Cuirasses or plate.

Obviously you have a great location with the college next door, cash flow! 🎉 It might be cheaper to demolish and rebuild, but like you said, you need contractors and cash in place to meet deadlines. One nagging question about HEMA, that I've had since the beginning... With regards to all that quality armor, and the weapons used... if it facilitates constant striking on both sides that is equivalent to BB's bouncing of a steel plate, and allows for both opponents to fearlessly hack and slash, how then, was it possible for men to kill each other quickly in actual combat? Or was it more the case of two or three guys ganging up on one knight and stabbing him with a rondel dagger or something?

I bet that scenario happened a lot, ganging up on someone like that. Or probably in 1 on 1 you get them onto the ground and overpower them with a dagger. Perhaps higher powered bows too? I don't know enough about archery. But one big game changer were maces and hammers. Those can transfer all that force into the body. Or a hammer with a sharp pick end to puncture with all thay weight behind it. Cause yeah these swords in this video we could probably do it quite a long time and only just be tired in the end. I would say one of the hits he got me in the side of the head, I really felt that one.

@@BachataKnight In most cases with sword on sword combat with two men in armor it would lead to daggers, or as they call "Half Guard" sword fighting, which is holding the sword by the blade, using it like a spear, armor had gaps, and daggers, and sword's could slip between such gaps, some men otherwise used mace's and hammer's, but yes, and no, a man with armor and a sword can kill a man with armor and a sword, as long as they have training, book's made on sword based fighting through 1500's-1600's talk about such forms of fighting.

From all my research the way knights killed eachother on the battlefield was mainly by stabbing, usually with daggers, in the weakspots such as the eyes, arm pit etc. Also a lot of them used weapons made for blunt force trauma so that they incapacitate or break the bones of their opponent.

@Aaronblkgt I think that's a perfect amount to try this, just be cautious :) I went down to the Tax Revenue office in town to get a print out list. You can also print our county list off the internet via their website, but I don't own a printer lmao
