Hi Chris, just wanted to say thank you for the video. I had a leaking seal in my 1023 and used your video as a "how to". It was very helpful for buying the tools and parts I needed before I started. Your video is how things usually go for me too! I was dreading removing my seal, but mine was so bad it came out in pieces. Anyway, I expected a 2 day repair but because of all the awareness you cautioned I was prepared and the entire job only took me 3 hours. Thanks again!!

That's what Mechanics Do! Leave it to them.

Give yourself an attaboy on that project !!! I do believe there is a vent kit option for that unit. One word of advice always replace with the factory gasket instead of silicon. Gaskets often serve two purposes. One sealing and the other proper spacing ( shiming of internal components ) don't go cheap next time !!!

So do you use any type of sealer on the gasket?

Put a axle vent on it. That's probably what caused the leak. Pressure build up.
