It is laugh aloud funny but at the same time, very intense. When Harold is fighting with himself over whether to give to what he know is Albert's emotional blackmail or stride out and do what he's planning. He knew what would happen. It's all a game, really.

The beach and the hotel are located at Fuengirola, outside the Occidental Fuengirola hotel (Which was Hotel Las Pirámides at the time which stayed open until Covid happened). The scene up for the viewpoint is located at Mijas.

This seems to be the original edit. Most versions are cut to ribbons, about 5-6 mins shorter.

Classic Britsh comedy from the 80s. And so much better then the more tame staff they did on their Moecombe and Wise shows. I'm playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order, Eddie. Oh err as Eric would often hilariously say. Oh matron, oh err.

I'm guessing the writers changed after series 3 because there's a noticeable way Rab talks or anyone for that matter. This episode has some funny bits but I just don't get why Rab is such a dick for no reason from the moment he was at the dr's 😐

@@WeeStevieB Ian Patterson wrote all 10 series. Pain makes alot of people angry and unusually it's those closest to them who get the brunt of it.

@WeeStevieB The problem was, they had to fill a big gap when Eric Cullen died. Screech didn't work. The whole dynamic of the show had to change. But still after season three they had some of the best episodes once it got back on its feet.

@craigmurray5919 True. After Eric Cullen passed it just wasn't the same and the addition of Screech was just bland. The only episodes I watch more than any others after series 3 are Buckfast, Eorpa and Further. Maybe one or two others but I don't recall the names of the episodes. I haven't bothered with any episodes since they started it again, whatever series where Gash was recast 😔
