It’s 100% legal to carry your knife in your checked luggage. You don’t have to buy a knife at destination.

@@timsummers870 Yes of course, only if you plan on checking a bag though. The airlines have lost my baggage so many times, especially when traveling overseas, that I only use a carry-on now. And if you are a knife guy, you don't want to risk losing your expensive blades. This is a solution to that problem.

Bro, country laws don’t permit to carry a knife in public 😂 try this in the UK, or anywhere in Europe and you could find yourself in front of a judge pretty quickly and possibly deported.

@@marioe6884 You should always check local laws before attempting to carry any sort of weapon. The sheath is an option to more securely carry a blade if you are able to. Most guys I know just make one out of cardboard and duct tape, this is a little more substantial 😄. Also, your comment supports my decision to never travel to the UK 😆.

The problem is that some countries and states have general laws that say you can't carry or conceal any knife for "violent purposes" including self defense. Even if you can get away with carrying a jack knife as a "tool" you might be on shacky ground with a fixed blade knife with a conceal carry sheath like this. Cool idea though. Knife laws are dumb.

There are a dearth of good sheaths on the market, especially ones that can accommodate different knives. I'll definitely check these out. I have a knife roll full of "travel knives," i.e., relatively inexpensive knives that I'm comfortable putting in a checked bag which might get lost or tossed by unscrupulous baggage handlers, but which are still solid enough that I trust them as carry knives when I'm out and about. On a related note: did you see that there are UK lawmakers who want to require that all kitchen knives solid to the public have rounded tips? Kind of like the "safety scissors" they make the kindergarten kids use...until they become responsible, mature, trustworthy first-graders and can be entrusted with the pointy-tipped variety.

UK just banned all "zombie knives" that's any knife over 4 inches or with a serrated blade. However I'm not certain if it applies to kitchen knives. But if so I cannot fathom the out lawing of cheeks knifes and bread knives. So the rounded tip isn't surprising at all to me.

Just because it's a kitchen knife doesn't mean it can go on a plane. There's a revolutionary fix to that though. Look up laws to where you're going. You can carry a rescue blade in germany. It just can't have a point but the side can be a blade. There's a lot of essier fixes. And if your going somewhere in the states, how about just don't go to places that want to restrict your freedom 🤷👍

You take the SHEATH on the plane wherever you're traveling, then pick up a blade once you arrive at your destination. Yes, you need to do your best to abide by the law of the land, wherever that may be. This is just another option for those who are protectors. And lastly, some of us have to go to those freedom restricted places because of work, etc... Happy New Year!

@@Ohm.Slice. I have not! It should work though! And if the fit happens to be too tight, you can adjust it by gently heating up the back of the sheath with a lighter or heat gun. 👍

I have a vintage boot dagger that might work well with this too that I don't feel like risking sending away for a custom sheath. Being able to heat up the back and reshape it is awesome 👌 will definitely grab a couple once funds allow it!
