I don't know why anyone still plays this, it got boring years ago. The way most people play is incredibly dull, grinding is meaningless and the entire game concept is just "get bigger number, get neuron activation." The community ruined everything good about it by constantly cheating or exploiting so that nothing mattered anymore, and that made the staff not care either. It's been over and irrelevant for years. Hypixel is going the same way, they're stuck in 1.8 when most of the MC playerbase moved on a long time ago

The game had fundamental economy and play style problems since the introduction of mystics that were never addressed or even maintained. There needs to be an incentive for new players to use middle and die repeatedly without getting frustrated and more progression to mystics that still allow mid prestige’s to have a fighting chance in a good mid while incentivizing obtaining good mystics so you can “have control of mid” more at high prestige. Anything done now is too little too late, pit is in a unique situation for a Minecraft game where the player base has to “snowball” for it to stay alive and keep it possible to progress without ruining the whole game

To give more info (I was in conclave and still technically am since the discord still exists) conclave had tons of well prepared and detailed ideas for many updates to come. We're talking about almost 100 pages of gdocs without even counting the thousands of discord messages and threads. The sad reality of the Pit dying is just that Minikloon did not care -- or could not care ? See, Mini would talk in conclave once every like 2 months and it would be just to send a random meme. Now was it because he wasn't motivated enough about Pit or was it because Skyblock was an absolute top priority I don't know. But everything was ready for updates, it's simply that ONE KEY POINT was missing : a developer with access to the game's code. It was a risk since 2018 to have only one dev into Pit, and we must admit that the community didn't really bond with Mini (IRL threats + doxxing...) so one can arguably understand his point of view and his motivation kind of falling down for the game today being absolute hell. Now that we are about 99% sure Pit won't receive an update (absolutely not a single admin tried replacing or even talking in conclave, and there are many admins in that discord) I wonder if it could be a good idea to still share the thoughts gathered and ideas produced by the team. I also want to point out, you talk about a new map at some point. Conclave had plans for new quests (each map having its own kings) maps perks majors events and so on. But even IF we had a dev, you have to consider the amount of work required and therefore such many ideas would never fit into a single update. So even IF Mini was still there and motivated it would take months to see all this content coming to life and through many updates (and sadly also many patches to fix the absurd amount of bugs found because Pit very probably would have not been into alpha).
