Ive had one of these for a little less than a year now. Went from having s boonie attached to it, then just running it bare. Its really cool and discreet fo when you dont want a helmet when youre camping or backpacking.

This has been great, but the unity harness that comes with it makes the strapes a little harder to mount everything. Would it be too much to ask for an update with the unity shroud and the chin strap and battery back?

For anyone wondering, swimmer cuts fit okay but they do say it's for a Sapi cut. A X-harness isn't ideal but it does work. Would be better with an H-harness. The weight isn't off-set much (3 mags, 2 pistol mags, small pouch). I have a more muscular built and it sits well where you'd normally have a front plate. I highly recommend it.

i mean if you're carrying that front plate around why not just wear it. is there a back plate in the bag too, or are you moving one plate from the back to the front? seems like a lot of wasted time. all you're basically doing is putting nvgs on, you were carrying all that shit the whole time, why not just wear it?

Let me ask you this - have you ever carried a rain jacket or sweater in your backpack while traveling on a plane? Why? Why not just wear it? For the same reasons. You wear it when you need it because not all gear needs to be used at all times. Same goes for armor.

Youd do all this at least 150 meters away fom the objective. Usually, some sort of terrain feature, like a hill will be in the way.

Gotta ask... if you're going to carry the front plate and helmet anyway, why not just wear them? I've taken off the helmet before, which can make sense, but even then that was with a ballistic helmet. This helmet is a bump helmet. And if I'm running without plates, I'm definitely not carrying them around in the pack with me. That's all of the weight but none of the benefits.
