In my humble opinion, you seem more stable with the straddle. Both feet are planted solidly, whereas the stagger looks like you're walking a tight-rope and you are a bit unbalanced left to right. Part of your mind is on your footing. With straddle you may not have to devote any brain power to balancing on one foot and counter-balancing with the other. Looking forward to seeing you on the tour and winning.

You should go with straddle, until you can find the time incorrectly on the staggered. There’s a disconnect with timing between your leg pushing and when you pop the disc off your hand when staggered

Your straddle putt looks a lot better than your stagger putt.

My experience. I straddle from 25 and in. I'm just more consistent and don't spray it left or right like I can do when putting staggered (as you did in your practice). But outside of 25 feet, I just can't get the power that I can when I putt staggered and tend to hit the cage often when I straddle from that far out. And outside of circle I really like the step putt which is close to my staggered putt. I've tried the straddle jump putt and it just doesn't work for me.

I've been working on this a lot and for me it depends on what type of "green situation" I have. As soon as I get in woods and have to putt around obstacles it seems like I have to use straddle to get around things. I don't see how you can get away with not having to use it unless you play only on courses with perfectly "unguarded" greens.

It’s so hard to tell which is best for you, since they seem near close to equal. Maybe find the windiest day you can, and find out which gives you the most confidence on that day? If all things are equal, perhaps wind confidence will be the determining factor.

When you throw with your staggered putt try angling your front right foot a little instead of having it point straight at the basket.

Just use the staggered stance for most putts, but keep practicing straddle so it’s comfortable when you have to straddle around a tree or bush!!!

Wide and staggered is best. This allows maximum use of the lower body, where power comes from, and also moving up and forwards into a balanced position, which is something humans are very good at.

Kristin gets insane power through the straddle. Might be worth following.

Since you have enough power to straddle I'd do that. Less movement = less variables. What distance do you feel like you lose power for each and need to start jumping?

Great video. Personally, I like to putt straddle when there is a headwind, when footing is not ideal, and when the basket is super elevated. On most other scenerios, i prefer the staggered stance. Good luck and stay positive. God's got this and he will guide you. You are an angel.

I think you're one of the better putters on tour and straddle seems to be working for you. There's also a certain 2x world champ that has had pretty good success with straddle. In the end, do what feels right for you. I'll be happy to watch you on lead cards either way. Best of luck.

You seem like you’re out there practicing everyday, putting the time in. Why not just be great at both? You need straddle from time to time even if you do the stagger.

I feel its best to be efficient at both styles,

Ken Climo the Champ always used the staggered stance, as does Gannon and Ricky today!☺Try stations in the C2 range(70 to 85 ft). Get them 50 tries at each station and don't be afraid to do it on a non-calm day. If you get in a grove from those distances, you are a champion putter and ready to win on the 2025 DGPT. When you are satisfied on those C2 putts, the C1 putts will become automatic. Depending on what your parameters for OS approach are, you might look to the Doomsday Discs Area 51. Different hand feel and I personally like it better than the Harp or Zone.

Great video and comparison! I can't throw as far as you so all of my discs over 7 speed are lightweight. As I get better, I increase the weight. At the moment, I can't throw anything over 9 speed no matter what. Looking forward to watching you have a great year! Best of luck in all you do.

NIce to see you recognizing the lighter weight discs☺. That 161 gram Emperor flew straight as an arrow, and I am glad to see that is one disc you'll keep in your 2025 bag. For the life of me, I just can't understand why players like to see a disc finish so out of control dumpy when it hits the ground. How can a player control just ow much left skip will happen from an over stable driver. I am anxious to see you throw some of the 150 to 160 gram weight discs. It takes quite an effort to make a disc to fly "flippy", especially with maximum weight discs. They may cut through a head wind better, but I will say this until I die: "A straight laser rope line shot is the most predictable and bogey free path to the basket, so why not use discs that fly that way?"☺. Give some 150 to 160 gram discs(midrange to drivers) a test. They may just play a key roll in you winning tournaments on the 2025 Disc Golf Pro Tour!☺Bill M., Uncasville, CT, PDGA#7378

Do you throw or bag the Czar? I’m a big wraith guy and the numbers are similar/same but I feel like the one I got is wayyyy beefier than the star wraiths I’m used to.
