Hi Steven I am in Durham so greetings from a cold north lol,you have some nice boats there all I can suggest is Google clubs local to you and take them for them to see so they can tell you how much they are worth, without seeing pictures,I can't help am sorry to say,there are clubs around and there will be members that will be interested in what you have,I don't know which clubs there are around your area,if you can't find any there is a RC boat magazine there are guys on there that might be able to help you there I hope this helps best wishes Riley

Hi john,yes those knipex pliers are very hand and ijave a few other pairs in my work tool box as they are a very good make and hand since i am a motorcycle recovery technician think AA but for bikes,i just bought a 3l ultrasonic cleaner have wanted one for a while for cleaning airbrushes and other RC bits and i think it will be handy for cleaning these RCS and save me time.these will keep me busy along with the other stuff i have to do and since the weather is so bad to go out with RCS i might as well do something lol best wishes stay safe

All the screws are going into plastic and all the bolts have nylock nuts on them,who ever but it used the wrong type of screw driver so the heads are twisted up a bit

Hi john yes the gearbox was a fabulous find only time will tell if it's as good as the tgh one,i pick up the collection on Saturday,it all needs cleaning before i go about getting them to work,i love the frog to needs painting to at some point,best wishes stay safe

Hi John yes there was a bit of a chat about blast it has 2.5 kgs in it and it does sit perfectly on the waterline to I think it looks and runs ok but others think there's a bit to much and a fishing boat would sit higher in the water,I say if it's had a good catch it would sit where it is now and that's how I want it,they also say I should make all the lights work to I said no to that as I don't want to go to far with the electrics as it only has a small battery due the space spare that I had and it would run the battery down to fast

Hi John, tell me about it some shops say either shadow stock or in stock and you don't find out that they don't have either and it's on back order and they don't have a clue when it's due in either, it's very frustrating,I wish they would just say out of stock on back order,but they would rather con us and take our money before letting us know,either that or we pay for it gets posted and never turns up,there are parts that I am still waiting for after a year,did let them know got money back,we have seemed to have gone from pigeon post to cave man post to be honest,and I have heard that the royal mail is going to stop delivering letters and just do parcels instead,it's bad enough it takes for ever to get stuff from them these days as it is,it is very frustrating,I am thinking of selling everything and not doing this any more as trying to get stuff is becoming a joke, take care best wishes 😩🤔😁

Hi John it has a hw 1080 with a cheap 55t motor in it,I do like a quiet car or truck I hate squealers 🤣,it strange there was no damage in the rear axle,I checked both and they look exactly the same no damage at all with the original one,as it's only rear wheel drive I can't figure out what went wrong,I will test it a few times without the trailer on it and go from there and try and figure out what did happen,have a happy new year my friend

Thank you, I didn't make it,I bought it off a club member,I just tired the wires added a new battery and a smoke generator unit,it was built by some boy scouts and their leader who made it into an rc,I think they done a fantastic job

Hi John ,it is hard to decide,it really depends on the day and the weather,I am still working on many,the big MTB with the nitro motor I am still doing up,bryni needs some maintenance,the sonic wake is out of season so I am left with the tug and Bismarck and the small boats.as for the cars and trucks again it depends what I feel like taking and what isn't broken or being built.some days it's so hard to choose in the sweet shop 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I would like to visit deans marine built it could be very expensive to me if I went it's bad enough when I go to local model shop for small bits I always come out with more 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hi John,I have only started to get motivated in the last few weeks,yes I do like classical music it helps me to relax,I didn't realize how loud it was whoops 🤣.the thunder Tiger ssb does work I have only started it I have never run it the body is in poor condition and I can't find another at all,spares for these vintage cars are very hard if not impossible to find which is ashame,that's just part of my Aladdin's cave I have a room with boats and another room with planes to,I will do a video of the boats soon,stay safe take care

There are some bits I need to play with I want 80mm dravtec shocks ,lower the body if I can and instead of Holmes hobbies magnum 20t and hw 1080 esc might swap it to the 2300kv fusion instead,even here it works well I might also put straight axles instead of portals

Hi John there is a belt that's around the top of the shaft that I use with an airplane starter for nitro planes it's the green thing,it a bit like a fan belt,the straight runner is ready to go,I just have to wait till there's a competition to run it. Had the tug at the club today it runs really well and looks great on the water,I didn't take the camera I forgot it left it on the coffee table whoops🤣🤣,I will be doing more weathering over the next few weeks,I am really happy with the wiring I did Stay safe and well

Hi john,I really should have tried editing that if I knew how to 🤣🤣🤣🤣 the geisha needs so changes done to it,after running it I am going to try the fusion 2300kv in it and see what the difference is,I know it will have a better slow crawl,I am also going to try the straight axles to and see if there are any great difference and I will make up my mind from there,the shocks work really well I might buy some dravtec ones and see if they are any better than the gatekeeper ones which are very good,it's trial and error,keep well and stay safe my friend

@@user-rv8wb1nl1b they attach to the axle using the axle pin and it has an extended wheel nut they goes through the rim onto the axle thread use a bit of blue thread lock to hold them on it it doest come with a split washer that goes between the nut and the rim but they don't alway hold well

Thank you it's really old when I got it it had lead house paint on it and was a mess it took me about a year and a half to sort it out and paint it,it's all wood and the hull is planked I stripped it sanded it filled it painted it and used gel coat inside and out to stop leaks and put modern electrics in it,I rally enjoy sailing this,I named it after both of my neices

Hi John thank you for the wonderful words as always,the new grasshopper only took 2.5 hours to build the body and wheels took longer to paint and do haha.i wasn't going to rebuild the mauler but with that van body it just wouldn't fit as it was meant to at all,and since the mauler chassis was going spare along with the axles and bits was a bit daft not to use it will take time but will get there I hope,I was glad to take time off ut and all other social media it's helped my head a bit to ,take care and stay safe
