Hi... just wanted to know which yarn would be better for something that is easily washable and may be stain proof
@eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet
@eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet 13 күн бұрын
@somyagahlot5052 good question! I do like the cotton yarn for durability, but it does tend to hold in stains more. My favorites are Red Heart Super Saver and Lion Brand Wool Ease. They both hold up well to use, and washing and drying, and while these yarns and the canvas could be machine washed and dried, spot cleaning is recommended to preserve your items or you can soak in a bowl for a tougher spot.

What is that website for Grow.

@justmoderndaypatterns Grow is a platform many bloggers use now to lock content on their sites. You can still access the content for free, you just have to be a newsletter subscriber to access it so when you see locked content on a site asking you to sign up for Grow, you can either do that for free and use the same log in for any blog that uses it, or log in with your details. One thing I really like about it is how you can bookmark posts from any site just by clicking the heart at the bottom right (you have to be logged into your Grow account to see it) and then you can view all of those bookmarked posts in your Grow dashboard no matter what site it's from.

Is that second increase of the first stitch going into the slip stitch?
@eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet
@eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet 2 ай бұрын
I suppose it could be. I always just say it's the first stitch. It will be the stitch right underneath where the beginning chain is, and the stitch will come out just to the right of the chain.

Hi, Thank you for your tutorial . If I want make a blanket with this pattaren I'll start with a chain of multiple of 40?
@eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet
@eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet 3 ай бұрын
So glad you like it! I am working on a blanket myself in a chunkier yarn ❤️ This is my favorite combination! I actually just finished it, but still need to figure out the stitching for the different sizes. The stitch count is a little tricky. I don't know if a multiple of 40 would work without doing some math. I find that I always have to adjust it depending on the size I'm making because it has to be an odd number for the 2nd section, a multiple of 3 for the 3rd section, in the 4th section I do an even number of half double crochets in each part including the beginning and end and a similar concept for the bobbles and then ends with an even number for the last section so... it's a bit involved, and I usually sit down with pencil and paper and play around with my counts depending on the size I want. In the end, the shaping works out, and I just make sure my total stitch count in each section stays close to one another so there aren't large dips along the edges. With that said, I would probably start with an odd number that is 1-2 stitches away from a multiple of 3. That would allow you to work the first 2 sections, then you will most likely need to adjust from there. Adjust the length as you go as well dividing your desired length by each section (subject for border before dividing), and then you may end up stopping a row before or after that measurement as some of the stitch patterns need to be worked from a specific side, like the second section.

Can I crochet this hat using size 3 yarn. If so do I need to make any adjustments such as hook size or more or less stitches.
@eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet
@eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet 3 ай бұрын
Hi there! The crown will most likely require more rounds of increases. You can try it, and then see how close you are after checking gauge. Otherwise, I would recommend starting with my Lightweight Grace Tinley Beanie video for the crown. I use a #3 weight yarn, and the same size hook: kzbin.info/www/bejne/inarm3iwhqmMqbcsi=IriF0gui9FR-T5pk Once you get the crown done, you can come back to this video for the suzette stitch in the body, working evenly around. You will most likely need to add more rounds to the height of the body too so just measure before fastening off.

Thank you, Sharon! Tell me more about what it is you're looking for so I can visualize it better, like one wall hanging or individual letters strung up like a traditional banner, or something else? I have wall hangings and squares for individual letters (you can find some in the Home Decor playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PLAgrRPB3v6_ubzP32Z1y0bSoBge6GUmfv), but to comfortable spell out Birthday, I'm thinking each letter might need to be worked in a very light yarn, maybe like a fingering or crochet thread? I have already started working on single crochet versions. Perhaps I can work on something similar to what you're looking for.
