@@AlexisAlexis-p3o I'm not sure what you mean, I explain each step and process throughout. I am happy to answer any question/s you may have. Beanies are tough in the beginning - anything in the round is challenging at first. I would recommend practicing double crochet stitches and getting comfortable with your tension first, then the steps for beanies hats will come a little bit easier.

Congratulations! Working in the round can be tricky in the beginning so good job! The most important thing when working projects where the finished size matters is matching up gauge so just make sure to measure the crown when you are finished increasing to ensure it is the correct size before continuing onto the body of the beanie. @eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet
@eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet Ай бұрын
@KimberlyLugo-c7s first, I would recommend counting the stitches in your round to see if they match with my instruction. Use the V shapes at the top of the stitches to count. Row 2 is 2x Row 1, Row 3 is 3x, etc so if you start with 10 stitches in the ring then Row 2 is 20 stitches, Row 3 is 30 stitches, etc. If your stitch count is wrong, it will make the crown cup like a bowl. You would need to frog, or rip back, to fix that. If the stitch count is correct, it could just be the tension, and that could be okay to continue.

Yep, mine is doing the butterfly and I didn't chain between clusters. I watched soooo many videos before starting this baby blanket and I'm just now finding your video by accident. I'm making a continuous granny square baby blanket in velvet and I'm almost finished. I was googling ideas for the border and came across your website and then found this tutorial. I was wondering what I had done wrong for it to be flaring out towards the corners. I thought maybe it was my tension. But you're exactly right, I didn't chain between clusters. If I wasn't almost finished I would take it apart and start again. Next time I'll remember this. I did everything else like turning on every row and starting in a different corner with a color change. Now I have one more tip for the next time. Thank you!
@eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet
@eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet 2 ай бұрын
Aww! I know that's hard when you're so far invested. If you're still working, you could try a round to even it out, like single crochets near the ends and double crochets in the center and just evenly go up and down in stitch size. I am sure it still looks amazing in the velvet and will definitely be soft and cozy.

@eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet
@eyeloveknotscre8tioncrochet 2 ай бұрын
@moniquebonetta3738 That does happen sometimes. It is the tension of the stitches. You can try to work looser, or go up a crochet hook size for that round only, or leave it off. If you need extra height, you could add another round of double crochet, or even do half double crochet in it's place.

@justmoderndaypatterns Grow is a platform many bloggers use now to lock content on their sites. You can still access the content for free, you just have to be a newsletter subscriber to access it so when you see locked content on a site asking you to sign up for Grow, you can either do that for free and use the same log in for any blog that uses it, or log in with your details. One thing I really like about it is how you can bookmark posts from any site just by clicking the heart at the bottom right (you have to be logged into your Grow account to see it) and then you can view all of those bookmarked posts in your Grow dashboard no matter what site it's from.
