My wife and I were on one of our excurions through cajun country and decided to stop by Mulate's in Breaux Bridge and take in some Cajun food and authentic Cajun music. The food was spicy and so was the band. After a few tunes, my wife turned to me and said "I can't understand a word they're saying. I pointed out it was Cajun French. We bought one their CDs and listened to it all the way back to Fort Worth. Only later, ded we realize that we had been entertained by one of the greatest Cajun bands in the country, but discovered that BeauSoleil had won many awards -- including Grammys.

Had the privilege of speaking with this fine man years ago. I just needed a button cap to complete a repair on one of his instruments. I hope some lucky person is still playing and enjoying it.

I love this man like a family member he plays and sings straight from his heart my Uncle D.A. Deshotel could sing a lot like Mr. Jesse which is really in the style of Mr. Iry Lejeune anyway listening to these great hits makes me so lonesome I grew up around good french music all my life had several members that could play really well my Uncle Mervin is a steel guitar player and was one of the best in his time. I miss those days it's bitter sweat to listen to these songs because sometimes it's hard I'd love to see Mr.Jesse play live I'm not sure if he still performs. Good old days of my youth I miss them..
