i know it's not really related to the video subject, but i really do wish that Mick Gordon joins BMTH as a semi-permanent member on the production side now that Jordan Fish left. BTW the song you show at 4:48 is pretty cool! It sounds like a modernized Mega Drive sound chip, with some extra aggro on top!

No this is not what creates the power of doom music, you need to be more creative and not follow strict patterns, think outside the box and not trying to do what all the other youtubers are doing, they all re create the same low budget doom style songs which are boring and honestly annoying, I would not listen to the song you made in the video in one of my workouts, (not saying it to hate on you) because it lacks personality and character, it's like the most boring vanilla ice cream flavor you can find, and I've heard all of the doom Argent. Metal artists, no one figured out what makes mick gordon special It's not the gadgets the has only...but instead his extreme creativity, I've yet to hear one of his songs that sound the same

Here's what tripped you up, imho: You tried turning music into math. It's music, you feel it, you don't formulate it. My opinion.
@raffimolero648 ай бұрын
I think the higher pitch stuff should be "sidechained" (i think that's what it's called) to the bass synth. Lowering the volume of the higher pitched synth during the bass to emphasize bass, and raising the highs back when the bass is silent, gives a more cohesive mix and really gives that punch.

first off i just wanna say this video is super well made, especially considering you're someone fairly new to the youtube scene. the sound of the sound is absolutely kickass and gives me all the intense and heavy vibes i got from the doom eternal soundtrack. my one critique would be that in an area like 10:19 - 10:42 i feel like the background melody is left out to dry and sounds a bit at odds with the heavy riffs due to them coming in with gaps in between. apart from that the opening and the main drop are stellar, really made me feel like i was listening to something like Cultist Base for the first time. i would also like to note i have no musical training!! so take that critique with a grain of salt haha thats just how everything sounded to me (which, again, was mostly awesome)

I'm not a music expert or even music basic stuff knower. But Your version sounds too clean. And it lacks the certain "oomph" that Micks music has. Is distortion a music term? Or blending the previous with the next with a wobbly effect, melding them together etc. Yours isn't bad but Micks just weaves all the elements into a perfect mesh... Thanks for making this video. Do Frank Klepacki next.

I am sorry for my weak English buddy...I'll try to explain as close as I can. Man you are doing so great, the vid ofc is flawless! About the music you are so close!! I felt the doom vibes! I mean the intro is cool...dark and it gives you the feeling of hell coming!Your voice and those evil roars are perfect! that rhythm! The bass and all! But in my opinion there are some stuff you should avoid to get the complete doom music thing which are for example the fast dum dum beats (I don't know what to call them) like in 8:48 I mean you don't hear such tunes in doom music! Maybe if you made it sound different somehow they would fit better, also the high tunes like the wee wee in 12:00 just kinda took me out of the doom music. You need that weird dark touch in the music like Mick does! He just surprises you with something creepy that your ear didn't expect. Other than that you are just doing so great! Much love man keep it up
