Thank you sharing this . Incredibly insightful as always. Sorry that 2024 for was so difficult condolences once again . I think an interesting thing to look out for is inequality both domestic and abroad. I think Trump would bring economic growth but this would mainly be for the extremely rich . In the uk tackling regional inequality is extremely important if the uk is serious about increasing productivity so that will be interesting It will also be interesting how labour react towards trumpism do they tilt towards the EU or towards America or even try to develop other closer relations with China for example. The role that the BRICs play in global politics and the Global Economy will be interesting. I guess it would be also interesting to see how the left and progressives create a credible alternative to the right of political. I don’t think they currently have a clue Also DEI . Wokism so called culture wars it dominated discourse in the first half of the decade. It’s going to be interesting how that evolves over this year and in the next few years . I also think we need to have a critical conversation about the role of billionaires /extremely rich in politics and in democracy. It

Well, that was shallow. No points for saying the housing market is broken, everyone in the UK knows that. Sadly it won't be solved by a few people moving to outer London because they can work from home 3 days a week.

Too many dickheads bought overpriced houses, pushed up the asking price of properties that are only worth a 3rd of the current asking price. That my friend is the British mentality...

Mate, thanks for having Rory, but stop asking every 20 minutes to give a like, subscribe and comment. KZbin has been a platform for over a decade and everybody knows how this works. If you bring value people will do all you want without telling them. The fact you had Rory here and didn’t think about doing the opposite to a good idea seems funny…anyways, I leave a like here.

House prices are affordable, or else they wouldn't sell in a free market economy. What the problem is, far too many people are afraid to graft, and go without to buy one. My Son worked nights in a Sainsbury store for 3 years to save up for his first house, as well a doing his "proper" job of being a scientist, with a PhD in Bio Chemistry, working to develop Cancer drugs. Probably the highest educated shelf stacker in Sainsbury at the time.

The state decides, at the behest of its citizens, the legality of marriage. It is no business of the bigots and ignoramuses of the churches. This man claims the truth with zero evidence to support his silly claims.

Our new housing market is utterly broken and not just on pricing. Near me, all new estates for the past 20 years are just street after street of 2 story, (mostly) 4 bedroom rabbit hutches with tiny rooms. For the past 40 years I have frequently heard politicians of all persuasions wittering away mindlessly about the ageing population but never mentioning any solutions. I am 60 years old and want my final house to be a bungalow, detached, easily heated and near public transport. A 4 bed, 2 story house buried away in a sprawling housing estate miles from shops, GP's etc is of absolutely no interest to me.

First of all real estate agents make money by lying, trump is the obvious example but they all lie about the values of houses, as houses get more expensive less folk can afford them making the rental market a real cash cow a black hole for some but big opportunity for the rich to enslave the poor folk, england has always been about maintaining the rich.

To all of the children and teenagers and adults who are listening and reading the sick posts....do not commit suicide or go on drugs or feel bad about who u are...God wired everyone to be unique and he did not create homophobics or racists....they are the sick ones. The hellfire is hot racists and homophobics are for the hellfire...their hatred of persons who are different from them is so sick until it is unbelievable
@GregoryHall-o3m12 күн бұрын
Persons should take note....racism and homophobia are unnatural only humans posess this sickness. Homosexuality is natural God even made animals gay. God however did not make animals racist or homophobic

To all who are reading these comments the last name Robinson is a very common Jamaican name. I am almost 100 % sure that Robinson is of Jamaican background...in Jamaica there is only one sexrel recognised sin. The sin of adultery and fornication and having chikdren out of wedlock is rampant there. Adulterers fornicators and persons born out of wedlock take pleasure in slaughtering gay people

Definitely appreciate your nuanced perspective, Mike. It's great to see you effectively demonstrate how the 'good guy vs. bad guy' narrative often obscures the true complexities of any situation. It's really not that simple and I hope more people begin to realise that there are so many nuances surrounding conflict.

My first house was 60k in 1991 and it recently sold for 350k. We bought it with 100% mortgage on 2 incomes of 17k! It was a 2up2down 100yr old terrace which at the time was considered a reasonable starter home.

Its a regime. We just do not see it, after being programmed by the government through schooling, Tv, Internet and radios from an early age. Just think like a NHS wage, if you pay that person what they deserve to be paid, they would not be forced to go into work the next day, because they have plenty if money and they do not need to. If you pay NHS staff the minimum yiu can get away with, these same people cannot afford the time off work, and will even show up to work when they are ill. Wake up to the regime that you are living in. UK

Calvin Robinson is a great Christian.God has given us the Commandments .Churches are open to everybody but Churches and Clergy and parishioners are to live the life that God wants us to .I am a Catholic and the abuse has been going on for hundreds of years but they keep excepting homosexual clergy in the Clergy .It’s annoying because we know what the problem is but they won’t front the problem .

An alcoholic loves alcohol.A gambler with a problem loves money .If you have any addiction including sex you should live according to the Bible .You must abstain.If you are homosexual don’t blame God or the Church or the Laws of God.I personally don’t hate homosexuals but 80% of the abuse was caused by Homosexual clergy .

the money saved on new technology increases the amount of devices you own. It is the utility companies that are benefiting from these savings, the more devices you own the more energy used. I don't believe these savings equate to an increase on house prices.
