The spiel about autonomy was basically we don’t have the money so we’re going to pretend it can work by having hardware “headroom” until enough “time” passes for the software to catch up.

But can a software increase the capability of a hardware? How do you guys see it?

So, if one is thinking of technology & forward thinking products, this podcast certainly showcases a company moving forward not only today, but in the future…also just watched a podcast from the New York Times on climate & one of the participates was RJ (CEO) from Rivian. This session & The NY Times one really help this consumer appreciate their dedication to their mission! Yes, a bit jargon laden from my laymen perspective, but the nature of this type of discussion.

As an old retired guy most of this went over my head. But, it was a good learning experience. It does help me understand why VW did that $5billion software contract with Rivian. Clearly Rivian is years ahead of VW and VW can really use help from Rivian! Cant wait to get my R2! Thanks!

One question often Bugs me. First we have a design cycle, and then ota Updates. Will it elongate the design cycle? But then it will increase the development cost. What's your view about it?

Thank you for this interesting video. I have a little question please, by modern network architecture, you mean in-vehicle Software Defined Networks ? Thanks in advance for your answer.

I don’t get it why use redis for data store postgresql is good for config data base but for telemetry data As time goes by it will slow down. Let me explain my experience, I work for automobile company where we show fleet data telemetry and can data in understandable manner with map and graphs which help use to track performance of trucks or fleet. Now they use Casandra for data storage and they store only 3 months of data even then they only give me max 20 vehicles of data at a time and for 1 months, for to get 3 months of data for 1000 vehicles we need to go for chunking api call . This can be avoided if we simply go for scally db to store this data. I know Amazon has their own solutions but they might give support for other solutions as well.
