Absolutely phenomenal slide guitar, love the use of the feedback and the fact you incorporated the vocal melody into it too

Hi there I'm new to guitar and Lapsteel, what is the importance of these major scales?
@colinc_music2 ай бұрын
Well, there's lots of reasons why it's important. The main benefit of learning major scale positions on the lapsteel is it allows you to be able to improvise in different keys. Also it helps with finding chord grips and making sense of the fretboard. Since your starting off, try and nail the pitch of what your playing and make music within the scale. Let's say playing simple major melodies if you know some. It's difficult to give advice since I don't know what you know exactly. Have fun though, that's the main thing! :)

@@colinc_music I've watched some of your videos and you do a good job. It's a shame that so few people appreciate your work on KZbin. If you continue to release covers or something like that, then at least I will be happy.

Great tutorial. Very thorough and well-explained. I've been thinking of trying lap steel. There's a used one for sale nearby. Might do it. I already play some slide, mostly in open E.
