Did the wheels come with the tubeless valves? The wheels and tires are tubeless ready but wondering if they throw in the valve stems to convert.

Lovely video. Kudos from CN! I own a 2021 TCR advanced 1 KOM which has exactly the same grey colour and I love it. Your bike looks fantastic and I am seriously considering a Canyon Endurace as my new bike now.

Were pedals included? Not sure if i should buy clipless straight away with the bike or just buy it at some later point.

Nice bike mate! Am thinking of pulling the trigger on the same one but a bit unsure between your grey or the "frozen yellow"...grey looks nicer in your vid than the website...decisions decisions! Cheers

Hey! I’m very happy with the grey colour. Originally, I wasn’t sure and asked Canyon if it was possible to order a stealth black one. Unfortunately not, but now the grey has really grown on me. Either option will be great. Enjoy!!

Hey! My bike fitter strongly recommended an endurance bike when he knew I wasn’t racing. It’s definitely a more comfortable fit and more suited to me than my previous Giant TCR. Good luck with your purchase!

Looking to buy this exact bike myself when they eventually get European stock available in my size. Current estimate July but shan’t hold my breath as it keeps moving back. Now you’ve been riding it a while how do you find it for comfort with the split seat post?
@TheWheelSlimCyclist
@TheWheelSlimCyclist Жыл бұрын
Hey! The split seat feels different to a solid seat post. I did ask Canyon if they could swap it out before sending but they were unable to. I don’t hate it, but I probably need to buy a better saddle and organise a fitting before I can make a final decision.

A couple of things. Seat (saddle-sorry, U.S. here) gel is likely a carbon-fiber specific gel. (Don’t know your configuration.) You should first check the seat height you’re going to need, pull the seat up a bit and then apply the gel around the tube at a level you believe the clamp will surround the gel. Also, for the headset (handlebars), you should have used the gel they supplied there as well. Not cake it on, but enough to add grip (carbon fiber) and/or seal (metal). The plastic disc you removed from the back is actually a spoke guard; it’s not meant to be removed. (Hence the reason it’s not done easily.) The premise is that, if your chain shifts higher than the limit of the largest rear gear, that guard will prevent the chain from going between the spokes and your cassette. (This is probably pretty unlikely these days-but I guess it could happen.) Taking the wheel off would not have allowed you to remove the disc. You would have also had to remove the cassette, which requires a specific tool. I’m surprised that Canyon didn’t have a better setup for the front wheel (and presumably the rear) removal. Having to carry a hex wrench when riding to remove the wheel seems silly for an endurance bike. I am guessing it’s tubeless, so a bit better. But if one ever decides to ride with tubes, and then there’s a flat along the way, it’s more hassle to have to carry that hex wrench. Nice bike, by the way! [edit] Just realized it’s a CF from Canyon…so carbon fiber frame. The gel is even more important on your front handlebar post, and probably re-applying to get more around the seat post in the right place as well.

I was thinking about buying a canyon race or aero bike, but after I cycled a long 162KM tour with my gravel bike, I realised It would be better to get an endurance road bike, because of the way more relaxing seating position that you can't have with an aero or road bikes. Race bikes are great for short and middle distances, but I prefer longer distances.

Yeah - my previous bike was a 'race' bike, which I thought was what I wanted. A few years after purchasing, I went for a bike fit and his main two points were: "this bike is too small for you" and "you should be riding an endurance bike". For me, I really enjoy long social rides and getting on Zwift for shorter sessions. Perfect for the new Canyon Endurace!

I bought an endurace cf sl 7 etap and put it together last week and i also ruined the top cap by overtightening the screw. I actually almost stripped the screw and Canyon, like with you,sent me a new top cap set for free . Really nice of them, but i think they should add an extra warning on that top cap when you get the bike, that the top screw needs only 2nm whilst the bottom two screws need 5nm of torque.
