I went for local flavors. I packed Turkish delights with a personalized tag. It was just hard to find them in bulk but we managed it.

At my wedding we married at the holidays we had a make a wish tree Christmas tree . At each table setting we put a gold dollar coin in a pretty gold bag. Attached to each bag was a note for guest to make their own wish and hang the bag on the tree. All dollars placed on the tree was donated to the “ Make a Wish Foundation” $150.00 donated.

Some boxes do have really useful beautiful things. I'm sorry that they sent you such a horrible box. I'm very corky so I'm going to use everything in my box and my first box ever even with bad reviews has amazing stuff in it and they definitely took the advice to get better things that are more helpful and have more quality. The boxes prices are the same. The boxes are very useful although I will not be reviewing mine because little trinkets from all my boxes I want to give to my bridesmaids or different family members or set them out as decorations. So I don't want to spoil it for the rest of my family. This is a wonderful video on how to make a good box just for yourself. I know that something new now lets you pick out the items that you get in your box so you never get anything that you don't want. Also being surprised and getting a gift is something extremely important and makes me happier. You guys can get a box and think about what you think it's good. I don't think that they're trying to one off the brides.

Most places won't let you take food from the venue. It has to do with the health dept. If you're so against favors... why go to a wedding?

I've always loved the combo of pink and green nurture and growth. I'll use the same as my home decor, wardrobe and any branding I do once I lock it all in lol. Dusty blue and white with lots of country texture, lace and refinement would be a fun one.

What are export cards?

I don’t know about the US, but in France the tradition is to offer sugar coated almonds (“dragées”) in a personalised little box or satchel. Everybody is bored of dragées but I think sweets in general are a good idea : it’s a nice reminder when you eat them and they don’t create any clutter. My fiancé and I will probably go for a more original kind of sweets that matches our colour theme but still, sweets were and still are a great idea.

My question is, if you have a restaurant cater, would they just drop off the food, and we'd be responsible for serving and cleanup and all that? It's never clear to me when I hear that suggestion.

The best favors I received were chocolate, confettos and a wine bottle stopper. My least favorite was a USB key with the name of the couple and their wedding date. I have lots of USB keys at home already and not everyone uses them. The only few times I use a USB key is if I have an oral presentation or if I'm printing something at university...

My fiance and I are tired of the stress of the wedding. We are thinking about just meeting our Pastor somewhere nice and just getting married. We hope that we can get our money back from the venue.

Hi, my youngest is getting married this month and we are doing burgundy and blush organza sashes with a personalized hashtag pen in their wedding colors navy or burgundy (guest will use during cocktails hour for 2 activities where they will mix and mingle to wiin gifts), soft mints( they can consume after dinner to refresh their breath) and slender bubbles to blow during the couples reception exit. We thought those were decent favors that came to a little over a dollar to assemble! Pens were only .50¢ each personized and write so smoothly! Oh and we did the mini wedding bells , will be placing them on each seat before ceremony to be rung as they are exiting as the newlywedded couple💕.

I totally disagree about the cake. In my family, half don’t care for it because of health issues. The other half, is waiting for that highlight in the wedding and to eat it too.

Hi 😊 to be honest, most 'guests' don't even care about showing up to the wedding, lol, so with that said, should people even have weddings? I say go big or go home, it's your day and you should be able to do anything you want. Just my opinion ❤

I am doing almost everything you said not to! including my cake ! , the buffet i know what i want and you only get to pick certain foods from a caterer i can get 10 times the amount of food a caterer would charge for if i do it myself so i dont know how your suggesting it would be cheaper to go to a caterer?? I've asked around 12 different ones who charge per head anywhere from £10-25 per person! Im marrying at a village hall so we have a kitchen to do what we need i get the village hall for 2 days so we have plenty of time to prep im not a lazy bride and like to be productive even on my wedding day! So I dont mind the catering ! We will have my step son in charge of catering as he works in a cafe anyway so he knows what hes doing! The photography will be done by my brother in law to be as hes a professional vlogger, online influencer and photographs buildings ! Hes amazing so why would I pay for a pro?? The bar will also be diy my brother in law was also a bar maid so he is able to make speciality cocktails and serve the drinks at the right amounts! We are asking guests to also bring a bottle or few cans so the fridge stays stocked! We will have a fridge, a small freezer for things like ice cubes etc and then will have a side room for either the buffet or the bar ! And then the huge village hall . Im even doing my invites myself I've already made the draft on my computer will be printing them via vista print and add wax seal etc 😑! What one may want another may not like but for you to say point blank not to do it is harsh! Its the middle of a pandemic and people are struggling including me ive had to book my weddings 15 months out to be able to afford it as it is not everyone has money to spend thousands on food etc when half the family aren't close anyway and probably won't even appreciate the stuff I do ! But I have to invite them for other family members sake ! Having to pay silly amounts of money on people I dont really like i would much rather have a buffet etc and have everything controlled how I like to . A decent photographer would be 1k off my 5k budget yes 5k ! My venue and ceremony is 1.5 k of that! I would have nothing to work with im even getting a second hand dress or one made to fit from china ! Just because you think it's tacky dont mean it is ! 99% of videos I've watched wirh my style of wedding which is boho/rustic burgundy and burnt ornage theme have mostly diy everything including the invites ! Why would I pay £20 per invite when I can pay for the card stock and do it myself add some string and a small pampas stem ! Im capable myself of doing what anyone else would be able to so why wouldn't I? I also have food and hygiene myself for baking and can bake so my cake will be made by me also! £1200 for a wedding cake! No thankyou its only buttercream food coloring and fake dried flowers as the topper isn't really hard tbh ! I could understand if someone wanted an extravagant detailed cake but I want a plain butttercream bark cake! Which is easy to make at home 🏡 🤔 everyone will have there own opinions but I think my wedding will look amazing ! When my mum got married she only had a pro photographer and thats it she did the rest herself this was like 10 years ago! She used paper plates plastic cutlery etc and had a buffet at a pub for the venue was one of the most beautiful weddings I've been ! Im not going to use plastic or paper plates though mine will be glass as it looks nicer ! You can diy some aspects and make other aspects better or add already made up aspects and items to the diy ones ! Makes for a lovely setup !
