that´s great.. I really love the performance..!! one thing that come to my mind..it´s about the Gong players. Should they sit like other gamelan players? because as long as l know..in Javanese culture, all gamelan players will sit on the floor during the show..and standing is considered impolite while others are on the floor. please correct me if l am wrong.

That is a good observation and thank you for making this point. The students know that sitting together is the traditionally accepted way to practice and perform. Oftentimes, I have found American students have a very hard time sitting for very long. Some have health conditions that prevent them from doing so and others simply don't have the body flexibility. When students find sitting on the floor challenging, I invite them to play gong where there is a little more room to move and they can stand if it is better for their body.

The person you were refering to as the one to replaced the dead chief was incorrect. He is rather the paramount chief of Ho traditional area and King of Asogli State. The one who passed on was the warlord of Ho and Asogli State. Make sure you know what you are talking about before you start providing people with misleading information.

I don’t understand why in western country, whiteman don’t allow even blacks peoples to come accros there funeral ceremony wherever it be held but paradoxale in West Africa or other part of the continent, yu always see whitemen ias though n there shrines with hidden camera taking picture of everything the saw. Plse a bit of privacy. In Ouidqh, the amidst of voodoo ceremony, , yu see them in shrines with camera hidden then posted on KZbin with a gee of mockeries.
