Coach Jenkins was my Football defensive line and wrestling coach from 1966-1968 at Baker High School in Columbus, GA. He's a great coach and a great guy. I didn't realize how many life skills I was acquiring during the time I spent with Coach Jenkins. I owe my success in college football, the military and business to the mental toughness I developed with the help of Coach Jenkins

The one thing I notice is the biggest struggle for young LBs concerning Stances and Starts, is getting this hips low. They ALL want to bend at the waist and leave their butt in the air. It can be struggle to understand that they need to bend at the ankles-knees-hips.

First time seeing the, "pushing it back with left hand" method out of the 50 different YT videos I've watched on QB mechanics. I've seen some talk about crack the whip, but he just has an easy way to explain it that now totally makes sense. Sometimes you have to hear something or see something from different people for it to finally click in your brain. To think that this is probably the oldest video on QB mechanics I've watched, and probably available, that I know, on YT, makes things humbling for sure. Funny how someone without the fancy video quality helps things fall into place...maybe not for everyone, but for me..yes.

He was better at getting turnovers that's undebatable
@21ZION Жыл бұрын
But Richard Sherman only played on one side Darrelle Revis would travel all over the field and lock down the number one receiver he even would cover them in the slot his footwork and technique was crazy

Rich Rod’s offense was 20 years ahead of everyone else that is doing it today. Although he used the spread concepts more to run than throw.

Incredibly interesting. I wonder how similar the Patriots’ Spygate tapes were to this.Along with the defensive signals from the coaches. Down & distance, and the play itself.
@provenknowledge5 жыл бұрын
I believe that was Jericho Cotchery trying to get open against Revis. He did not win many of those battles all year, I’m sure. Revis was an exceptional cover corner.

I play high school football and this is really great but they arent taking read steps to the ball, and some could argue u dont need them but to hit the A and B gaps they're really helpful also I dont see the tackles u need to read out the play to make an impact on the offense so I'm kinda confused!🤷♂️

On the Zone Read part of the video. If the reduction is coming from the LEFT. LDE has B Gap. NT has B/S A (Right), Looks like PSLB is scraping to C Gap. Then it has the B/S LB gap exchanging to the the Right with the RDE. Who has the P/S A Gap? Am I seeing that wrong?
@bryanthall52846 жыл бұрын
Bryan Schaumloffel the play side end will collapse the b gap and should cut the back off from play side A. And a good/quick nose will use the momentum of the backside guard to propel him through to make a play on the back if he tries to redirect to it.
