@@RosendoCantu-y6s There are two wires coming from the clutch just in front of the motor. It is on the back side of the belt guard. One I Grounded to the engine base. The other I ran through a new 2 pole switch then directly to the positive post on the battery. I did put an inline 20amp fuse between the battery and switch for safety.

@@facelesspsycho8252 yes they can be resharpened. I think Jeff's Sharpening can sharpen or retip them if they are too bad for like around $3 per or $8 to retip. New if you wait til there is a sale Vermeer does 10% off a couple times a year. A bucket of 60 which is 3 full sets last I bought was around $600. One set is I believe around $250. Each tooth can be rotated once also for a new edge.

I would guess that there is rust in the pins from the elements. I would soak the moving parts with some WD40, Pb Blast, or similar oil. If that doesn't work maybe a small amount of heat on the pivot points. Hope this helps.

I would rather cut smaller pieces to avoid rope or property damage. Just because a rope is rated for that load doesn’t mean you should push it to the limit every time. Good ropes are $2 a foot and 99% of mistakes are avoidable if you just take your time and plan it out. Good thing you had the cones down!
@stihlgotit

I was pretty sure the rope would give. It was locked off on the portawrap. I just wanted it to slow the butt until the tip was down. Due to the wood I had stacked for the trunk to fall on I couldn't reach to cut smaller pieces without climbing a completely horizontal branch with no good tie in.
