More people die in the city of Telluride at the "taco bear" drive through than have ever died on Black Bear. People need to follow the rules and not enter when it is closed. They will never close it and they spend plenty of tax payer money fixing it up every year.

These trails have to be the most epic I've ever seen!

Just not Black Bear, many others are being closed down and replaced with designated wilderness areas and monuments where public access to these public areas are outlawed. The elephant in the room are left leaning politicians who react to environmental extremists. If your a off roading enthusiast, biker, motorcyclist or hiker or camper you poses the power to stop these closures. And that is voting for FREEDOM candidates, which currently all reside on the Republican ticket in November, from top of ballot to bottom. Lived in Colorado for 69 years, I've seen it all, it's time we act for our rights on public lands. Get off the sidelines.

They are really trying to close it?? People are so soft. People die everyday of diabetes but they didn’t close all the donut shops.
@ssilva9510Ай бұрын
who died and how did it happen? that's probably considered a un maintained county road .The sport of 4 wheeling has been over run by people buying a 80K jeep and thinking they can operate a off road vehicle. just like the ones who buy high performance cars and think they can race

The most dangerous thing about Black Bear pass is tourons in rentals. Always has been. Imogine far more fun and scenic. music as if you're killing the rubicon trail. You skipped sticking your heads in the waterfall up there at the switchbacks? That is a rite of passage. lulz Great footage though!

Looks like a stock jeep might be able to ride that trail. Not quite as easy and maybe more time consuming.
@Retired_from_TX2 ай бұрын
I went down right behind them in a stock Rubicon, was probably easier time than they had. 1) lower center of mass is a bit easier on camber, 2) the switchbacks were a lot easier. The worst part is the stairs. The switchbacks are scary because of the drop, but not hard. Unless you are in a long vehicle :)

@@Retired_from_TXI agree a stock Jeep would take this trail on with ease. Just a little slower on the steps and much quicker around the switchbacks.
