Brilliant piece , could synthetic fuel have a place in the future of motoring ? , I saw a piece with Richard Hammond awhile back, and he was very excited about the possibility of running his classic cars this way , we will see .

Sand over sable paintwork and “proper” chrome bumpers not those hideous black rubber abominations. A beauty.

All this androgynous pofaced ubermodern imagery is just dull. It’s so stereotypical of desperation to provoke outrage from ‘normal’ folk. Yawn Jaguar or GU or JR or whatever…nothing worth getting excited about there.

None of this will revive the Jaguar brand, which has been in the doldrums for years now. I can see this going the way of the Mini, MG and other "brands" the Chinese have been so fond of and buying up for some kudos. The advert is nonsense and stirs up the negatives of the LGBTQ++++etc and race bigotry we (white males) are all being accused of. It will go the way of Bud Light, financially.. Even if Jaguar make the greatest EV ever, it will still be an EV, which has nothing to do with the Jaguar brand. A case of mistaken identity.

Hi guys , I'm 66 and have had several Jaguars in the past , the last one being an XK8 , I have loved them all , I guess this re-branding is possibly not aimed at me , I ' am the past , the world is speeding up and I'm slowing down , I can only wish them all luck going in this crazy world and hope the name Jaguar will be talked about for many years to come . P.S . If Molly would like to deliver that beautiful convertible E Type to my front door, I could say thank you with a lovely hot cup of tea and cake 🙏

Hi Simon. I thought your comment was poignant. At 61 and at a point in my life where I can actually afford a new Jaguar if I so choose (ironically I am indeed looking for one last 'big' car purchase before I retire in 6 years) I suspect I too am not on their target-list. Nonetheless, I'm not sure this advert truly will appeal to many people who can afford a Jaguar. I don't think many people are inherently sexist or homophobic I just don't think having this stuff rammed down our throats is appreciated in a country that is known for its tolerant attitude to alternative lifestyles. As for killing the brand off? I'm not sure. I have seen pictures of the clay prototypes of the cars they plan and *Whoah!* they are stunning. The issue is, according to my friend who was kind enough to share these pictures with me, Jaguar are re-branding themselves at the higher end of the market, and no longer taking on BMW/Audi/Mercedes with 'company cars'. As such I'm not sure that high-end cars with their high-end prices will be affordable to enough younger people to sustain the company. One thing is certain (IMO) they are really taking a gamble by joining in with the increasingly woke adverts that we see on our TV screens these days. I for one *do* vote with my feet & wallet. My usual Christmas shopping involves many hundreds of pounds spent in Boots. They won't be getting a penny from me this year. Same with Gillette. I no longer buy anything from them. Lastly, my next (and last) big car purchase will involve a combustion engine. I have nil interest in buying any EV.

Shadow and the lovely 2 door Corniche....absolutely beautiful cars...... BUT ......also absolutely problems galore. Best, imo, would be to buy a great condition body and put it over an actually useable and practical non-rolls chassis. (For me I would do this if affordable as I would want to really use it.)
