Anyone else agree this was the most underwhelming Seymour fight? Like I was tired of seeing him but final battle should’ve hit harder

I think the game struggled for balancing at this point. Like if you entered sin right away, he "might" be tough but if you did other stuff and gained some sphere levels, Seymour is super easy

Once the game opened up after Yunalesca it just gave access to almost all of the harder optional content which is why it became so easy imo - plus, by this point in the game regular monsters in sin gave that much exp levelling up was easy regardless. I've always found no sphere grid / low sphere grid play throughs make the game a lot more challenging while keeping it interesting. Even without levelling up at all for example, with the item and mix system you can still quite easily complete the normal game and then begin to focus on the bonus content afterwards and at that stage begin a bit of levelling as needed.

Really love the cast and props to the localization. They did a respectable job on the ADR and localization side of things. After hearing these in both English and Japanese, I can't call it, in good conscience, call it bad. I'm sorry but it's not fair to completely shit on it. I have friends in voice acting and god damn is it hard but their passion and respect is there. As for the fight here, I was expecting more like the pBirdman mod so I'm a bit disappointed. I hope someone can do to FF10 what Sega Chief did for FF7 New Threat someday. 10's a decent enough game but there's too many issues imho from being great. I still like the game but it's not Kitase's team's best work in the series.

Imo like 50% of it is actually pretty decent, and the other 50% is definitely bad, mostly owing to the voice actors having to fit their lines into the Japanese animation

Seymour Omnis casting Ultima is not a Magic Attack, it's a Special Attack, Shell cannot protects against Seymour Omnis casting Ultima.
