Ngl he'd make a joke about it because he wanted to keep his cool asshole demeanor, BUT deep down he'd care and he would try to show his concerns in other ways, like spending more time with Evan (but externally he would complain about it A LOT, and pretend like he was only doing it for his car issurance)

It's 21 chump street, it's only around 18 minutes long and 2 of the actors who are in it have actually been apart of Dear Evan Hansen. Gerard Canonico was an understudy for Evan Hansen for a bit and Alex Boniello was Connor Murphy after Mike Faist left :)

Nope. They're not related by blood, like, at all. They're "family friends", meaning Jared and Evan's mothers knew each other. According to the book They knew each other when they were both around 7 years old. Jared's mom sells reel estate and helped Evan and his mom find a place to live after his dad left. Evan even attended Jared's barmitzva and the two of them used to play video games on Jared's basement couch. They were literally best friends and Will Roland who played Jared Kleinman in the original Broadway cast claimed that he believed Jared has a crush on Evan which is technically why he chose to help Evan, despite acting kinda jerkish at times
