My intense pain lasted 10 days. Motrin, Tylenol didn’t work. Naproxen anti-inflammatory med did not work. Tumeric anti-inflammatory did not work. The only thing that has reduced my pain, swelling, and inflammation is MORINGA. I took 3 capsules 3 times a day. From this day forth I will take very good care of my feet so that I never have to endure this TORTURE again. By the way, the local anesthesia , lidocaine, did not work. I felt every bit of the nail being removed. Look up moringa and research it. Good Luck everybody. I did take two antibiotics: doxycycline, and keflex to prevent any infection. Plus triple antibiotic cream with dressing changes. I would recommend investigating a NAIL TECHNICIAN before letting a podiatrist rip off your toenail.

I do have pain on the back of my heel. The orthopedic said it’s a bone spur!😢 I’ve been in pain for almost a year. It started with severe inflammation from my knee and was not able to stretch out my knee all the way. For over 3 years I was limping so now I am done with pain. Is it always the way to surgery on the bone to remove the pain and will it affect my walking or mess up my foot if I will be getting surgery??? Thank you for going over the different types of reasons for the heel pain. Hep me understand please. 🙏😞

In my opinion... It's been nine weeks. They finally quit hurting all of the time, and those twinges that made me hold my breath so I didn't cry out have pretty much stopped. They're still weeping. I work in the river, and I can't go back to work yet. My Mates rib me about not getting my feet wet, so I show them my toes and they shut up. How much longer?

I’ve heard that sometimes it just takes forever to get better. If it’s not red then it’s probably not an infection but probably best to get checked. I did mine 3 weeks ago and there’s almost no pain. I just did another one a couple days ago and that hurts and probably will hurt for the next two weeks

@@kjc2786 In my opinion... It's been twelve weeks and they're only a third healed, starting at the tip and working its way to the Cuticle. They still twinge.

G'day cobber! Was great to find a video on this topic from a business in Mackay. I grew up there but am overseas now. I have a big old haglund's lump at the back of my heel and it's giving me quite a bit of grief. If I can get an X-ray and ultrasound scan to you, would it be worth doing a video consult to get your advice? I want to avoid surgery as I don't have anybody to outsource my responsibilities like driving, walking my dog and so on.

I had full toe nail removal two days ago, the pain is fckn awful. The procedure went okay, but they'd a bit of difficulty removing some "fibrous tissue" and were digging around a bit. As a result they said it might be a little tender. A little???! For two nights I've been crawling the walls with pain. I highly recommend NOT walking around with it for the first few days like I did. Because when you go to lie down and raise your foot, the pain hits and its pretty bad!!

Update: I went into the clinic and they removed the bandage. Instant relief. They had wrapped it WAY too tight. The underside of my toe is still numb next day. So if you're experiencing a lot of pain I recommend taking the bandage off immediately and soak it in salty warm water. Redress with a simple breathable patch dressing. Slept like a log last night.

I had 2 permanent nail removals on both big toes yesterday and I haven’t felt any pain in my right toe at all since, however my left toe has been hurting excruciatingly, and it’s swollen and extremely sensitive, why could this be? I don’t think it’s infected, so what could be causing it to happen on the left but not the right?

Can you also talk about what are the treatment options if the pain is due to the bone growth instead of soft tissue ? Is surgery an option to remove the excess bone ?

Yes... me too! I have a significant dorsal spur on the back of each foot! I was given a prescription for steroids, print out of exercises, shoe inserts and support hose. If that does not work.... I go back in three weeks. Do you think I will be needing surgery? He said 60% of people succeed without surgery.

stupidity, a pain reaction will also occur in the case of bruises/sprains of joints and soft parts, a fracture is diagnosed after taking an X-ray, this type of pulling and pressing on the foot can cause more damage and pain!

Hi, I've looked at some info on the intrinsic muscles of the foot. They're mostly on the plantar side of the foot and several appear to support the arch. It would appear to me that directly strengthening some of these muscles (eg via toe flexion exercises or similar) should reduce compression on the dorsal side. I'm not an expert, but I have this problem, and the custom orthotics I got for it caused additional problems. Curious to know your thoughts. Cheers.

Hi , i am having a bad jellyfish kind of lump in areas around archilles just above heel in my both feets . I usually play soccer a lot . But now i feel can’t get back anymore because of this . I consulted with doctors and physio , they gave lot of exercises but it never got healed . A doctor suggested me for PRP too , but also said no guarantee that it would heal completely. Its with me for almost 3 year now and pain in never away . I would like to visit to your clinic for treatment. Please respond when you get time. Thank you
