Happy new year! I appreciate your videos! I got those nascar cars. I'm a little disappointed with how they perform handling wise and would love to know what you might do to them if anything. Ive only opened one so far... FYI I just started playing with all this slot car stuff last July after a 55+ year hiatus. I have about a 57' carrera track and 16 digital 132 cars, all of which still have their magnets and original tires. All I've done is greased and lubricated them and sanded their tires a bit. I don't have a real tire truer and am leary of swapping tires but maybe these cars could be a first for me. Take care and thanks!

Brilliant Dave My humble two cents for an end video idea would be a simple yet intriguing philosophical question. ie..What crosses the finish line first, the car or the controller finger? If a motor sparks but no one can see it, does it really spark? stuff like that but you know...better lol

Happy new year Dave, seeing you have always liked delving head first into building things. How about car builds or track builds that have caught your eye. Ie things like Shotgun Dave rattle chassis that Marty has at the moment. There’s a lot of knowledge out there, you have the presence and tech ability to get it noticed. Sorry that was a bit long. Nice one Dave. I think out takes or, epic crashes are always good as a closer! Maybe some of the 'mutterings' we might not hear if a segment goes belly up, that'd be hilarious..... I don't think my mutterings are broadcastable but, there's an idea as you're more eloquent than me ;-)

"Wszystkiego najlepszego w Nowym Roku" Dave or, and as we accustom in this house, and whilst in the vernacular of Felipe Massa and Ayrton Senna, "Feliz ano novo" or, and as my 84 year old mother would most likely shoot my way and whilst in an idiom in which I am most conversant "bonne année". Let the racing begin! Finishing your videos? East of 'The City' the general modern short and sweet take seems to be 'laters' but where you pitch is back out the other side and far, far away and so maybe you need to 'Shrek things up' with some ogre vibe? Yes, there are some great slot tube channels and I am only sorry I don't find time to check in with more than I do but, for me, you, Rob (Swift), Marty, Dave Kennedy, Harry and, increasingly Jorge and Jim Rose together with some of the Spanish guys find as my main stays. Sorry to some of the others who find themseves 'crowded out'. I do dip in from time to time and maybe I'll move to a degree from being a supporter to a player when I eventiually retire although not for a good few years yet.

Happy New Year Dave! Given your interest in historic racing cars and races you could post links to youtube videos of those. I find that I watch quite a lot to find out more about what my slotcar was like in real life and how it fared. Also sites like racingsportscars might be of more general interest. Those are my ten cents :-) And on another matter, do we really have to wait another 11 months for new jokes from Mrs SlotR???

Thank you for the clear demonstration. I did everything you instructed in your video. Both check lanes are facing the correct direction. I had one check lane on my track previously and just added a second. I programmed them and when I run around the track, as soon as I get to the first check lane, SmartRace announces a lap has been added. Any help would be greatly appreciated… thank you!
