Regarding threading a serger . . .if you can, start saving up money every month and buy a Baby Lock. Specifically, a model that has the forced air, automatic threading button. Sewing is such a source of joy and a great outlet for endless creativity, dread should not be part of the equation! My first serger was the type that I had to do what everyone knows, connecting new spools of thread by individually tying the ends together and praying that it wouldn’t come undone! I traded that machine in, at a quilting store, on a used serger that does the threading for me, at the touch of a button. You can only appreciate how wonderful that is, if you have the kind that most people probably start with. Dread is no longer a word that comes to mind, related to my serger. They are ridiculously expensive, I know! But trust me, even if you can only afford to save a small amount of money, eventually you’ll have enough and when you bring the Baby Lock home, it will eliminate the awful dread every time you start a new project. Modern technology incorporates features into machines, according to what people who sew like and dislike. Hence a button that takes all of the frustration out!

How can anyone follow you? You're going too fast and not putting any sizes to cut, be nice if you talked people through your project
@pattybarker78043 ай бұрын
I don’t like looking down on top of the sewing machine. You can’t see how she’s sewing.

I bet you could add a zipper or velcro too instead of snaps

Would be best if you shared cutting measurements of fabric and slowed the video down. Also include the final size of .

Hi Alicia I'm a new subscriber here but, happy I found your video. It's not so involved and complicated as many others are. I will be trying to make 2 for my sister's g-children. The little girl LOVES bunnies.

The constant jerking of the speeded up video was very uncomfortable to watch. Not at all comfortable and too fast for teaching. I guess it avoids a lot of editing for you but it makes for a very poor product which is sad because you do have ideas worth watching. Not at that speed.

OH WOW! Thank you! I think you sold me on getting a serger. JoAnn has a sale on a later model Brother serger. I will look around at new and used options. I love my regular Brother sewing machine that I have had for years. I might stay with Brother. And thank you for all of your tips.

Its called q Quillow because its a quilt & a pillow. You made the whole thing look so difficult when it isn't. You shouldn't film it while you obviously had q cold. If I had to rate it out of 10 I'd give it a 3
@Ddrhl11 ай бұрын
This was probably good, but I couldn't see it, I don't know what your measurements were, and, on the 3rd one, I have no idea what you did.

You didn't state size of fabric you didn't state size of square cutout you didn't state size of stitch or type of stitch or size of Elastic or how much. This wasn't a good informative video at all. I don't know why you took the time to even post this video. And you don't reply to any questions not sure why 5,000 people subscribed to your channel. Doesn't help at all.

Bought 1 of this recently ... but its really easy to thread...had some problems getting it to start back the chain stitch, but the secret to dat is start threading from the lower louper 1st...only thing i dont like abt this serger is dat theres only one screw for both needles... other dan dat its ah great serger...
