It's pretty stupid to corner then cross a canny, resourceful survivor like Ste, He might not be big or that hard, but he's a scally who grew up rough with no moral compass so he's capable of anything. It's hard to understand how or why Amy still had positive, loving, longing feelings for Ste after what he did to her.
