I worked with Charlie during his first run in Atlantic City. He was a very nice man and treated his band reasonably. As for his jokes, many people then and now suffer from a lack of understanding why this type of comedy could offend someone. I would also add he was not in any way hateful or openly prejudiced against the groups he made fun of.

Precilla like all of us is not perfect. Although she was no longer his wife and broke his heart and shattered Elvis's pride it is hard for many of us who loved Elvis to not judge her. I find it hard myself sometimes, but I am thankful that she decided to open graceland to the public and acted on it because Elvis loved graceland and I think he would be pleased that it was saved and opened to his fans because he loved and respected all of h8s fans.R.i.p. Elvis. You were and still are a blessing to millions of us who will always love you. Noone will ever forget you. You will always be special to us.
