Brilliant comparison video, excellent detail fair play. Vega onboard graphics were awesome when they first came out, pretty much revolutionized it, and it's lasted a long time, but now there seems to be a clear successor. 11:05 really like that music too, it's lovely.

I just ordered this mini PC to use it as a powerful router. Top of the line gaming routers like TP Link Archer ge800 and Asus gt be 98 pro are very expensive but their CPU is like 5 times or more less powerful than Ryzen mini PC 8845hs CPU I don't care about wifi.

Why would a MiniPC need 2 Ethernet ports? How often do people need 2 Ethernet ports even with a SFFPC or full PC? Such a waste of space when they could have added more USB ports instead.

@@Youdude2 depends on use. Some people use two ethernet ports to effectively double network speeds (using one to send one to receive), and it can also be used much like a network router or firewall separating the LAN from the internet connection.

@@deckdemidgard it'll be able to run, but if you want to crank up settings, adding an external oculink eGPU would be best. Check Rog ally ff7 rebirth on KZbin. It's a handheld, but this pc's cpu and integrated GPU is slightly better than those of the ally. Should give you an idea of what to expect.

@TeamPandory friend, thank you very much for answering me, I currently have a steam deck oled it runs well even on low, I don't know if it's worth the investment to migrate to the Rog Ally X as the steam deck community is very supportive. I had a lot of problems with the PS5 I wanted to have an experience like it on a mini PC, would it be possible if I connect an RTX 4070 Ti Super to the Gmktec K11 will the experience be like the PS5?

I'm a fan of ff7 remake / ff16 they are games that last many hours on average 200 hours to do 100%.. you gained +1 subscriber, your content is very good.. if you can make videos extracting Gmktec's maximum graphics with an RTX via hiddenlink showing game gameplays will be epic, you're the only one on KZbin who does this and we love each other!

Its a great little handheld but i can't understand why they have preinstalled emulators like dolphin on it when its not gonna be able to run the game cube games or wii games. Im trynna get mario kart double dash to work on it but its not happening. Frustrating.

@Aylon444 in all aspects, both CPU and GPU are improved on each iteration. Saying that, if you intend to go the eGPU route for games - the M7 would probably be enough for most. Will experiment this upcoming week 😊 If you only need CPU grunt for windows tasks and utilities, the M7 is ample power.

cool to see, but on Helldivers 2 its possible to use directx 11 instead of 12, in most cases it performs better and it is not hard to do, just set this command"--use-d3d11" on the Launch options

I'm curious , could I run an eGPU from one of the USB4 ports? Like if I buy a model that doesn't have the oculink port, would USB4 be enough?

@@RANDOMNATION907 it might be, but I'm afraid we can't really say anything unless we have an external GPU / usb4. Over the next week we'll be trying an eGPU that has oculink. If it has usb4 we'll be sure to give it a test too. 😊

Looks very much like the Switch Pro Controller in the angle and fit. Do you know if fit is very similar? Biggest advantage for me if it does, it looks to be more like it compared to other pairings, which looks more angled like an Xbox controller.

@RANDOMNATION907 pretty much any of the ryzen igpu's are faster than the intel variants. The cheapest one we tested was in the gmktec M5 called w/ 5700u. Was a great little processor. 😁

I ordered a GMKtec M7. The delivery was swift and I could track the order. The unit seemed fine and Ubuntu install worked fine. The issue was that the top fan started to creak a few days after I began to use the PC. I contacted GMKtec and they sent a replacement fan. Unfortunately, the second fan broke less than a month after receipt with a noise that seemed like a ball bearing came loose. I contacted them again and they stopped replying to my emails. A decent unit that is unfortunately let down by low-quality top fans and the cheap wifi card that gives half the connection of my 10 year old mac mini.

How did you get into the settings for the trackball? During game play You said at one point “ because the DX uses MAME, and then POOF! You were in the settings. But how? How did you do that though? For us newbies who don’t know? I’m having a really hard time playing Missile Command so I’m trying to adjust my Trackball settings. Any guidance you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

i got the GMTek K11 during the New Years sale, bare bones (no HDD or Ram) for only $400 and you get the Ryzen 9 8945HS along with the 780m apu. i already had a spare 2tb m2 drive and just had to buy the DDR5 SODIMM and went with 32GB. i am amazed at how great these integrated video cards are. if you said 5 years ago that an integrated video card could run AAA games people would of laughed at you back then. i also got this one because of the Oculink port incase i decided to finally get a full desktop GPU

I don't understand what the justification is for having a mini PC, to be portable there are laptops that have a screen and battery, to have a PC with greater capacity there are desktop. This tries to be both but it's not better at all, only for those who work jumping from country to country and like to play, but even so a gaming laptop is better

Hey there, thanks for the comment 👍 You're missing a few large demographics who this can be tailored for. 1. Those looking to purchase a cheaper, smaller, quieter version of a desktop. Much of the price of a desktop is down to a case, power supply and motherboard alone - And these also can be a cheaper alternative to laptop provided they have the same specs. 2. Those who need the above, but want a quick and easy solution for gaming. I know we didn't really get into it in this review, but adding an eGPU via Oculink will make this beat most desktops in price AND portability. 3. Those who want a small PC to be hooked up to their TV. Installing Bazzite (pretty much SteamOS) will transform this little box into a great little game console. I've had gaming laptops in the past, and every one of them disappointed. The weight due to the added GeForce card stopped it being portable, and even then considering the price I paid, the gaming performance wasn't up to scratch vs my desktop. It's just examples like these, and even those you mentioned that makes me glad we have the options to pick and choose.

the first thing i would do is to install win10 on it, win11 is nice but i dont want that spyware "feature" monitoring all i am doing, even if i am not doing anything scetchy, i dont need that type of "feature", in my old times it was called spyware alias virus :)
