how do you add an audio delay to your mic audio in? my cam is about 4 or 5 frames slower than my audio in (on 30 frames), what setting should be added in reaper?
@johndrummondsongs2 ай бұрын
Interesting problem to have. Usually you are trying to reduce latency, it sounds like you want to increase it. The sort of things I would try is, first of all playing with the sample size in your ASIO interface if you have that, around 1024 you get significant delay. There is also something called Media Playback Offset in Reaper's routing, you could try that. Also, I've never tried it but Voxengo has a free plugin called Latency Delay.

@@johndrummondsongsok thx for your answer the " Media Playback Offset in Reaper's routing" is in prefrences, recording, cheched use "audio driver reported latency", plus adding an offset in miliseconds? Or do I have to set that elsewhere?

how to set up u-phoria 404 mic without delay and on a low power FM radio station with only audio and mic 3.5 mm plugs
@johndrummondsongs3 ай бұрын
You shouldn't get noticeable delay. You obviously install the Behringer driver: www.behringer.com/product.html?modelCode=P0BK1 Go into the driver settings and make sure Samples is 128 or 256. You only need larger values when remixing and mastering in a DAW. For the 3.5mm there are physical adapters pretty cheap on Amazon.

Thanks so es first thing I did was update drivers. I've never used only a two 3.55mm straight in plug on a unit to behringer 404 and 202. I think my problem is the Dell laptop Inspiron 15 7000.... old. But thanks!

Close, but a couple wrong/missing chords. In the Key of D (Which is what you are playing) On the verse "Points One Way" is a G Chord, Before it goes to G Minor. On the Chorus, the second word "Walk" is a A Major chord BEFORE you go to B Minor. At the end of the Chorus , on the word "Same", it goes to an F#M from the G Chord right before it. Just trying to help you make it better. Don't take it the wrong way.

This is the way I do it today...... Intro | G F#m-Em | D | D| |D | A | C | G| And when I see the sign that points One Way, | Gm| D | G| E7| the lot we used to pass by every day. CHORUS 1 | D| Bm | G | D A | Just walk a-hway, Renee, you won't see me follow you back home. The empty sidewalks on my block are not the same.... | G-F#m-Em | D | D | You're not to blame. | D | A | C | G | From deep inside the tears, that I’m forced to cry, | Gm | D | G | E7 | from deep inside the pain, that I chose to hide. CHORUS 2 | D | Bm | G | D A | Just walk a-hway, Renee, you won't see me follow you back home. Now as the rain beats down upon my weary eyes | G-F#m-Em | D | D | For me it cries Solo Bridge | Bm | F# | G | D | | G | D | G | E7 | -->CHORUS 2 |D | A | C | G| Your name and mine inside, a heart upon a wall, | Gm | D | G | E7 | still find a way to haunt me, though they're so small. -->CHORUS 1

This is many years ago now, but that is mainly my chord sheet. I'm playing the Gm then G (check with Chordify). I agree with the A - if you're following the Left Banke version - its oddly not there in the 4 tops version. For what its worth, I think on the first line of the solo it is Bm F# D E as I played not Bm F# G D.

I tried to set this up but couldn’t figure out how to get Reaper as an input for the bridge. Now, whenever I open Reaper, all my desktop audio gets put into the input for the bridge and I don’t get to hear anything, and can’t figure out how to make it Reaper. Do you have any idea?
@openmiccricketerswoodford2 жыл бұрын
OK, you have to install both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Reaper. I think this is because although you are probably using the 64 bit versions as your DAW, the ReaRoute plugin that the Bridge picks up seems to be the 32 bit version. So, you set up 64 bit Reaper and a Rearoute-1-2 output from the Reaper master track. Then in ASIO bridge you select ReaRoute ASIO in the box thats right in the middle of the ASIO Bridge interface, and you should then see the meters moving on the right hand side of the ASIO bridge. Your second problem sounds like Windows settings are Reaper are using ASIO bridge as an output - you don't want this. The ASIO bridge is simply there as an additional output from Reaper (additional, not instead) that a streaming program like OBS can pick up.
@HyperLuigi372 жыл бұрын
hmm, looks like what i do is uninstall reaper and choose the rearoute driver at setup i'm doing this on 64 bit first to see what happens first, i just downloaded 32 and if it doesn't work on that i'll try that then
@HyperLuigi372 жыл бұрын
Hmm, I reinstalled both versions with the Rearoute box checked but ReaRoute still doesn't show up in my plugins fx bar
@johndrummondsongs2 жыл бұрын
@@HyperLuigi37 Rearoute is not a plugin, it is optional functionality in Reaper. It is not an FX, it is not a VST. You use it by adding an additional "hardware output" to the master track. If Rearoute is installed it will offer ReaRoute 1-2 as an option. You must install Rearoute as optional functionality when you install Reaper for both 32 bit and 64 bit, and when you install Reaper ASIO bridge must be closed .

Hi John, I'm not able to see Rearoute as an ASIO device option in the HiFi ASIO bridge app. Are you doing anything beyond launching Reaper followed by launching ASIO Bridge and selecting Rearoute as the ASIO device in ASIO Bridge? I definitely have Rearoute installed and have used it to send signal TO reaper from other software, like FMOD.

I found this very helpful in my preparation to stream church services. Thanks a bunch. The one thing that your viewers might like to explore, which wasn't covered, is using the Sync Offset value in the Advanced Audio Properties to slightly delay the audio. For my camera and audio setup, I needed a Sync Offset of 172 ms in order to make the sound sync up with the video.

After entering the jamulus, the Reaper does not see the interface inputs( I use to Yamaha UR22c driver
@johndrummondsongs3 жыл бұрын
So if you are using Reaper (good idea) you would use ReaRoute as the Jamulus device, set up Reaper withe Yamaha ASIO as its device (128 samples), and set up a return ReaRoute track in Reaper (Routing: No Master Send.hardware out 1/2) so you can hear Jamulus.

Thanks Johns. My issue is how to get audio (NOT MIC audio). EVERY SOUND playing from my OBS to Streamyard. Meaning background music, sound of the video I'm playing on OBS... You can show image BUT the sound is not there. And YES I have the sound from virtual microphone without any problem. Hope u understand.
@johndrummondsongs3 жыл бұрын
You can add another Audio Input Capture into OBS, do the same thing in the Advanced Audio Properties (4 mins in on the video) and mix between the audio sources. But you'd have to use something like the VB Audio cable to get the sound from OBS to Streamyard etc as shown in the video. Hope that helps!

It should be under the Filters/VST for your audio input. You need to have ReaPlugs (might as well install both 32-bit and 64-bit versions).

This is one of the most clear videos I've seen on this matter. The VB router for me was the missing piece. I'm going to try it when I get home. when I attempted the other day I couldn't get any sound out of obs while the reaper audio became intermittent. Have you ever come across that problem? It only happens when I run them at the same time. If I shut down obs the reaper audio returns to normal. I hope I'm on the right track.
@bestofthemusicfest80593 жыл бұрын
Just make sure Reastream set up right , same id, broadcast local etc. Then in OBS I find I have to give it a dummy mic, not sure if the new version of OBS is easier. I find its safest to have a common sample rate for everything on the computer, I use 48Khz. Currently I'm not using OBS I just go straight into Restream (the other one, the website) or Streamyard, and I use ReaStream (Reaper) to go into something called the DDMF Virtual Audio Stream, which can present a virtual mic. Crackly or intermittent sound is often sample rate mismatch, too few samples in Reaper (need 128-512), or CPU overloading. Best of luck!

Hello I can not get rea route to work it does not appear in my asio bridge. Can you help?

It should appear in central part of Bridge. Make sure you have set up arouting on master track in Reaper to ReaRoute 1/2. Also, I'm not sure about this, but I think once I had a problem so I installed both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Reaper.
