Thermo king is the best. We have some carrier units with two zones the freezer which is first unit freezes good the cooler or second unit for chill does not cool good it comes on for only like 5 seconds at a time. Thermo king both units can cool continuously while carrier doesn’t

Good video, however, I have been Driving a 1984 Ford 8000 fire truck. I can tell you that shifting that newer truck is much easier than the older trucks, especially on deceleration.

Good video. Just like a super 10 but only on the high side. BTW, a little clear silicone OR super glue would keep that center piece with the schematic in place.

Wrong!!! You don't push the clutch in all the way because you could engage the clutch brake.

I learned on 10 speed and drove that happily until they made me take one of the new trucks which weren’t manual anymore but 13 speeds always confused me and my dad just trying to verbally explain it was so confusing and intimidating 🤦‍♂️

If you talked about driving a stick in the UK, people might think you were a witch in charge of a broomstick. When I drove big stuff years ago, they mostly had 6, 12, or 16 gears, and no-one taught me how to drive with anything more than 6 gears, so I had to figure the rest out for myself. I'd learned on crash boxes so I tended to double de-clutch out of habit, and that gave me time to estimate the next gear I needed whether I was changing up or down, and that seemed to work for me, because I knew immediately I let the clutch out if I was in the right rev range.

I started trucking in 1975 ...I learned on a 1965 B Model MACK triplex trans...2 shifters hi low box...I have driven every trans out there...5 speed to a 18 speed.I have never tore up a clutch or driveline

These engines have lots of low-mid range torque, use it. Short shifting {flapper down} will keep the missed shifts to a minimum. "Winding out" when the flapper is down creates troubles. It is called "progressive shifting"... the rpm shift points are raised as the road speed increases.

he`s pressing the clutch in to far. you just have to tap it an inch or two. he pressing the clutch all the way down like a car which will make the gears grind.

For me this is how i simplified it, Assuming you are experienced with normal Manual cars. Your 6 speed manual have less gears but longer. So 1-2-3 can get you up to 180KMPH So from 1-2-3-4-5-6 Your car can accelerate from 0 to 300 Ez In trucks With loads. To haul all that loads to those speeds they need to speed up gradually keeping the RPM in the peak torque zone. So instead of shifting from 1-2 And your RPM From 4000 down to 2000 Losing that turbo boost so from 550lb down to 250lb which is not enough to haul anything. It simply changes from 4000 down to 3500 Keeps that boost up So your still above 400lb But then again you lose speed instead of going 300km Your gonna top up in 60KMPH. So they added more gears! Now the truck can get up to those insane top speed! Now how to shift? You have a switch a button that changes the gear from low to high So 1-2-3-4-5-6 7-8-9-10-11-12-13 So if your in 1 and you hit the switch, your gear will become 7 And goes for all gears. For reverse Its like shifting from 1 to 2 The truck just goes backward instead. I think as long as you understand this concept the whole idea should be clear now?

You are pushing the clutch in way to far actually stopping 😅the gears from rolling, when you push the clutch in all the way in you’re putting the clutch brake on , don’t dont do that, only push the clutch in half way all the time except for dead stop

I remember at 10 years old my uncle giving Dad and me a ride in his new 1974 cabover Kenworth tractor, which was a 13 speed and 8v71 Detroit Diesel. I thought that red switch on the shifter was for all wheel drive, lol!

I'm a gear floater. Once met a driver who couldn't float from 2d to 3d gear with a Super 10. He said it was not possible. I told him it was possible and he said it was not. I asked him did he want to place a bet I could do it and he agreed. We were at a terminal and I took him for a ride to get lunch. He paid for my lunch. I also told him I don't ask people if they want to bet with me unless I know I can win. It's in the RPMs and all engines are not created equal. Last year's model sweet spot can be different from this year's model.

1:22: _"just like a 10 speed we're gonna from 4th up into 5th"_ No buddy, in a 10 eaton fuller speed the 5th gear is right down, not middle up. Also you should not preselect the splitter as soon as you did, but as late as possible. Actually you should move the shifter before you preselect the splitter, doing it in "one go". Anything else will shred your transmission over time.

the new generation said "i'd rather have the clap", give me auto. l ran 10 car hauler s.e. to s.w. million miles 9 years. At 70, im home now.
