There are many, many videos and photos of the Cathedral, Castle etc out there - but videos like this, showing everyday life and streets in Lincoln are far more evocative for anyone who lived here. Your flip phone footage of the old bus station, and video of an autumn Sunday morning in the 90s video brought back so many memories for me. Just a glimpse of a street scene which no longer exists can have an enormous Proustian rush! Please never take down these videos - future generations will find this footage invaluable.

Its a great video, it really is. Sad that the city has become so full of corruption now. How half of the new buildings got planning permission i would say is beyond me but sadly that's not true. We all know how some of them got planning permission. Lincoln City Council is a disgrace.......

Happy memories of a good day out to celebrate the Linc's group 50th anniversary despite my Nippy depositing all its engine oil onto Castle Square when the oil pressure gauge pipe broke off - certainly caused quite a stir as we came up with a "fix" to get me home again and numerous attempts to clear up at least some of the shiny black trail I'd left on the road! Shame I missed the photos at the Brayford Pool but the car romped home afterwards and has done many 1000's of miles since...

Yes it's tragic isn't it? Just shows you even in the 90s poverty was rife for some families, it must have been embarrassing driving around in an old car like that whilst others around you were driving nicer newer cars.
