Glad I found your channel. I have a new track opening up next month (Jan 2025) just 12 miles away. They will have a stock TT-02 class. I've been into RC since 1986 but never raced. I think this would be a good class to get my feet wet.

You can reinforce the body, in front and behind, with drywall mesh and shoe goo or E6000. (extreme get it a Rhino Lining) In addition, foam that fills the front as. Tamiya 54819 TT-02 Urethane Bumper XL. it then just has to be cut to the front size. Thinking the track you Race on has fixed sides, it smashes the body quickly. See if club will redo the track with soft sides, like The club I drove in, used old fire hoses, without the coupler, and plastic road discs in the corners, like in this video, there is only discs: DRCMU 5 2023 Stock A Final 2 kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZOvqYCIjc6bpZYsi=NUmr0o4TYgq1VMWi

I got one of these just to get my foot in the door. They're cheap but the tt02 races are too anal about regulations and these cars run like crap without mods. I'd rather get a 1/12 pan chassis.

I had no idea these crappy, cheap plasticky self-queen Tamiya's can handle a Spektrum brushless system.

They can! The spur gears seem to be the weakest link. If you adjust the punch setting you can make them live though.

I always wonder how these pretty accurately scaled RC models fly when the actual aircraft they're based on are designed to be inherently unstable to increase maneuverability and can really only be flown using fly by wire and a computer to constantly monitor and adjust the control surfaces.

Very nice looking body and setup there! I didn't even know they had adjustable camber links for the TT02. As, for content.. I like channels like Rangoli_RC, RRC Rally & Trail, RC-DOM-UK, Mark Bryan, Poorboys RC, Bigbristv, Green Hawks RC, and even some crawler channels like RC Dungeon, RC-TNT, and RC Scale has a nice blend of both where he does a transport and trailer setup for his beach buggies. Boats, planes and helis are cool too, just I'm more into cars personally. I'd say just do what you enjoy in the hobby and try to film it like you were watching a movie or a car ad, and your style will develop. I'm no expert, just sharing what I learned so far. Hope that helps! Liked and subbed!

Body looks great! Don't forget to always remember when re-using a screw hole that has already been tapped with a course thread, to always reverse the screw into the hole and feel the click. The screw will usually drop slightly deeper into the hole when its ready to be turned clockwise. This practice helps to prevent stripping out the threads due to re-tapping the hole.
