I love how it’s in D major, a nice chance and I think it suits the melody better

This is one of the best performances of this piece I've ever heard. This was my class's final song at graduation in 2021 and its title, Infinite Hope, couldn't have been a better send off after the year 2020. Thanks for doing this song the justice it deserves!

So, was the chicken a frustrated child's remembrance of their first drowning memory in the womb? Or perhaps an old man's last self-image as he hovers in a death dance in the basin of forgotten pain.

Stockhausen said to his little rumbling daughter: "you have music in your belly". That's the origin of the title

Dr. Z was my professor of music in 1971-73. He taught at a junior college in St. Paul,MN. Little did I know that he would compose many concert band pieces that would become standards in concert band literature. How fortunate was I to have known him personally and wow what an influence he had on me. RIP Dr. Z.
