I wonder if they go through an endless cycle of being reborn or if they actually reproduce. Because if they go through rebirth the child would probably turn into a planula and then the cycle begins again. But if they reproduce it might be the grandparent that creates the planula because supernova normally expel masses of material. edit: I just remembered that the planula as an item in the game is a boss item dropped by the grandparent. So I think I might be correct.

I like how even the Planula's lore document points this out, stating how odd it is through dialogue between two characters. Also, since every species on Petrichor V was brought there by Providence because their worlds were dying, I can imagine that their species didn't just face a planet-destroying apocalypse, but indirectly caused it. Seeing how their life cycles are inspired by stars, the natural transition from Grandparent to Child must be very violent and destructive. Indeed, with the lore documents stating how they're extremely aggressive towards anything remotely interfering with their "peaceful ways" lets me think that they must've angered something powerful...

For some reason i imagined the children enemy giving birth to a planula, im so sick

A couple of thoughts on this challenge: A) you are only not allowed to use the arrow keys, you could have saved an hour or 2 just using the "." on the num pad (next to the "0") to teleport back to base. B) you don't need the keycard or the password changer, those doors HAVE a password already, just look it up online and save so much time and money. C) all those skeleton parts you ignored are worth more than trash, as is all the MREs in the vents if you get the hook fast enough. D) if you had bought the TV remote you could have teleported anything you wanted or plan to sell back to base by linking the remote to a box in the garage. Not sure what the range is though, I might need to test that. E) shoveling trash is less convenient than trash bag rolls, but not much with the TV remote, this might have saved some time because you don't have to pay for the trash bags. F) There is SO much money on this map, O-Kurfer challenge runs (I can link you some) are more about speed and tactics than asking how to collect only 1K points. For non-speed-based challenge runs, maybe a loftier goal like building a complete mining rig, eating every type of food, or collecting multiple hard to get artifacts would better test the income you can get from the trash and various map treasures and such.
