Doesn't matter is Umbria and not Tuscany: Umbria is absolutely stunning too and underrated. But I agree: this price isn't worth it. Are windows double glazed? Is there a well or town water? Any other things like solar panels to justify this price? Nope.

@@MrPooties I adore Umbria, and agree it is underated. I was merely recognising the fact that Tuscany falls, for purely market reasons, in a more expensive property band. Absolutely no reflection on the glories of Umbria (Assisi alone makes it one of the most extraordinary regions of Italy).

€499,000, - which, let’s be honest, is half a million euros, is optimistic for this property. For all it’s charm, at that price it needs to be challenged. It is a rustic property, not a luxury property, in Umbria, not in Tuscany. In that price range, a pool would be expected. €399,000 would be more realistic.

Our job is just to present properties and renovated them for those who like to own an original farmhouse here in Umbria. Here everything is negotiable! But, it's not nearly a ruin, it needs a new roof, structural reinforcements, but it's not one to demolish. It's near Perugia and close to amenities, with water and electricity, nice land, great pool location and pool house potential which all counts as well. Here in Umbria a great ruin, so the location with a heap of rubble starts at around 100-150k, they go up to even 850k or more for volume, location and view. Also because you can't just buy a piece of land and build, there needs to be a pre-existing volume.

Luckily it has windows on 3 sides so light coming in from various directions, high ceilings and large spaces, I understand what you mean but when there it has a pretty good non-cave like vibe to it!

Hi BD, Thank you for your observations. I guess we'd figured people would go to the "about" of the channel and simply click on the link to our website, which would be good for the traffic. I guess that was wishful thinking! We'll add links to the properties, no worries. Regarding the length there are people who love it, there are people who get upset about it. Fortunately there's no obligation to watch it all. In our experience it does help potential buyers big time to understand a property and the setting which enables them decide wether or not to actually visit when they come to Italy and helps both our clients and agents save time that would be wasted on useless visits. Regarding the sound we all checked and had other people checked, we hear it all just fine, maybe something on your side? Anyway, there's an incredible amount of video of properties for sale here in Italy, we're sure you'll find exactly what fits your expectations.

I mentioned nothing about the length. There's no links under about on the phone app and I'm sure most people traveling are using it. How could it possibly sound ok when you're not miked and standing 20 ft from the camera and talking?! You've got a bad attitude for taking criticism constructively and turning away potential buyers...not just myself. Posting on KZbin and tips for video production are valuable when you're marketing to the world.

@@BD-wk5pc Thanks again for these new observations, especially the attitude one. It's so easy these days to just call yourself BD and spout comments, maybe too easy. On the phone app you simply go to the line up of HOME VIDEO PLAYLIST CHANNELS INFO and right there below a description you find two links, one to our renovation group website and one to our real estate site. It can possibly sound ok as with video editing programs you actually can enhance sounds, muffle background noise and so on. Also we don't pretend to be a super pro video channel, and at this time we don't want to be. The market in Umbria is difficult, covid costs of 2 years of business, and we're too busy working to play around much with youtube. We wish you a very nice day today.

Keep saving time on useless visits

Hi John, I've got 2 jobs, one as a realtor, the other one with a renovation group that handles renovations for foreigners A-Z here in Italy. As the tour start I explain that when the current owner bought the tower one could see the sky from the lower floor, meaning there was no roof, no floors in between, nothing, Adding those means working with beams that are structural weight bearing quality, new ones. Wooden beams get hardly ever recycled apart from use as decoration as they need to be tested and approved. So in this case the beams are all brand new, or at least they were when the house was renovated. Thanks for your interest!

While i enjoy your tours, I would like to see the ceiling beams so that I can examine them in full, not just part of the side, just like the walls and floors, visually.

Hi Mark, thank for your comments, we'd made this one for a specific client, bad weather etc, not what we normally do, due to covid shortage of colleagues etc we've put it online for various other interested people to see, we're working on the editing, adding link etc, so we don't give all the details in the video, they are on our website. thanks for understanding! Ah yes, we normally work the other way around here, buyers find our listings on portals and then we send them youtube links, we've never had it go the other way around (yet). So they start with all basic info, and then do a little tour. regarding lengtht, we 've got people that watched our longest video ever 20 times and couldn't get enough, and people thinking 4 minutes was too long. It all depends...... Also years of experience has taught us that 99% of foreign buyers are clueless about the properties we've got here in Umbria, we like to explain, emphasize etc.
