At one time there were about 18 street grade crossings in New Haven... This one (Belle Dock) this would continue on Water St, over the Tomlinson Bridge/Forbes Ave then round out to Waterfront St & terminate at the UI facility...There was another line that was called the Manufactures Line that ran just east of this crossing on the other side of the Mill River that would cross John Murphy Drive, Grand Ave & Chapel St (east of the Chapel St Bridge) that would hug James St & River St & would terminate past Ferry St... The Shoreline would dissect Fair Haven along Main St, Monroe St, Blatchley Ave, Fillmore, Poplar ST, Ferry St in line to the Quinnipiac River (North of the Grand Ave Bridge) to Clifton St then along Lenox St & Warwick St to East Haven...The Farmington Canal line would come street grade along Canal St & cross Webster St, Munson St, Division St, & the side streets in-line to Hamden & the Derby/New Haven Railroad that would cross the Boulevard ( by the flea market) & terminate at Long Wharf. two tracks are still there near Hummel Brothers.

Some are still around but majority is in contingency and two are active I the fast track

They updated the railroad crossing They replaced the mechanical bell with a E bell And also they added more lights

Yo, it's actually the bus number 2102 that got burned up. As of now, they pulled all of the electric buses off the roads for safety measures and had to borrow some of Hartford's buses as I saw one of their Xcelsior express buses in Hamden 2 days ago.

No, there were 12 of them on the road already. They was all delivered months/weeks ago but the other 2 electric buses (#2111 and #2112) was supposed to be for Stamford, CT after the testing procedures. But after the fire completely destroyed bus #2012, once again, all of the electric buses are off the roads due to the officials (fire marshal, police, etc..) is currently conducting an investigation of the cause of the battery fire.

They’re super quiet when you’re riding on the bus they have charging outlets at the back of the bus and the ride is smooth overall. Really good investment for the state cttransit

Hey, whenever you get a chance, do so. I think 6 of these buses are in service now in New Haven. The rest of them (4 more) are in process of being delivered while 2 buses are soon to be in Stamford.

Not as lucky as also seeing a Not in Service electric bus #2105 sitting in downtown after it's run. The bus was off that last Tuesday night without a driver in it. I've already taken a picture of it.

If there's anymore, that is. There's only 2 crossings in New Haven. One on Grand Ave (as you saw) and there's another one on Forbes Ave after you cross the bridge, but you rarely see one.
