Hey Marcus, know this, every person at that concert are Grandmothers and Grandfathers who still remember all the words to that song as well as all of the other jams of that period. Don't believe me, ask the next elder if they have ever heard of "Free Bird"?

New subscriber. Great reaction to my youth😅. I'm going to check out your playlist, but have you reacted to the American Metal Band, METALLICA? If not try Metallica in Russia (1991) - "Enter Sandman" Live! Take care.

You were right, three lead guitars and a base. Rossington, Collins, and Gaines on lead, Leon Wilkeson on base.

Led Zeppelin is a magnificent band. Choose any of their songs and you'll be amazed. The four members are the best musicians you'll hear and we're so lucky that due to the genius of Jimmy Page they came together to form the ultimate rock band.

Hi Marcus, I'm envious that you have SO MUCH music you get to hear for the first time! Enjoy it all! You only get to hear something the first time once. I've been listening to this particular song nearly 45 years (took me a little while to discover it). There are so many songs I would like to hear for the first time again. But I still enjoy them of course!

Hi Marcus! I really enjoy your videos! Please keep posting them. Your passion is contagious. Skynyrd is legendary. I grew up in Central Florida in the 60-70's and life revolved around all the southern rock we could get. Lynyrd Skynyrd lead the way. If you want to hear a GREAT Skynyrd track, play "Crossroads" (it's only on their live album). Take care, keep rockin', and alway love and respect your cool mom. KM

It's not ribs. I think that it is a whole hog turned into ground pork, and molded in a machine that makes it look like a rack of ribs. Then it's drenched in delicious barbecue sauce. Be careful. Those are very addictive.

This was Southern rock. I saw them do this at Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, NC in 1974. It was Under the Stars festival and featured a lineup of ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rare Earth, Leon Russell, Elvin Bishop, and Billy Preston. That was about 12 hours of my life I would not trade for anything! That said this was not a one off performance. This happens to be the best remastered video of them from that era. This song was a show finale and was always over the top! The vocals sound better in the studio version as mics for live performances were not the same as today. You probably know a plane crash 3 months later killed key band members making this video the last of that era.

Im 67. I saw Skynyrd three times, with the brilliant guitarist, MR. Allen Collins, in white. He was a gifted player, a genius, wildman who never let up. These guys grew up in JAcksoville FLA. self taught. They practised day and night perfecting all their tunes. Off stage, you did not mess with these guys.....har core partiers! Remember, many idol, Allen Colliins. After seeing him, I bought a guitar and never stopped playing. Dude, your hair is nearly as long as his was!!!! Well done, my friend. !!! So glad you taped this

So this is a trip....I was in the 7th grade when the plane crash occurred. My older sister had tickets to see Skynyrd that same week. I sat in my room and cried when I heard the news on the radio. Who knew, almost 40 years later, I'd be living across the street from Donnie VanZant (Ronnie's younger brother and founder of the band .38 Special.) What a wonderful, caring family they are. I'm so proud to call him my friend. Thanks for the reaction from northeast Florida

Ronnie Van Zant - vocals and leader of the band; Allen Collins - guitar; Gary Rossington - guitar; Steve Gaines - guitar; Artimus Pyle - drums; Leon Wilkeson - bass; Billy Powell - piano; Their last performance was South Carolina’s Greenville Memorial Auditorium on Oct. 19 1977 Free Bird lasted for 20 mins The next day boarded their plane that was unsafe the Fuel gauge was broke. The only way to check the fuel was with a stick. The plane ran out of fuel the engines were burning too rich and wasting precious fuel. One engine shut down then the other did. The plane went down over pine trees killing the members of the band, Ronnie Van Zant lead singer, guitarist Steve Gaines, and vocalist Cassie Gaines, that day was the saddest in Southern Rock. I was 20 when I heard about it on the radio. I cried like a baby.

4 months later they were in a plane crash where Ronnie Van Zant(lead singer), Steve Gaines(lead guitar), and Cassie Gaines(backup vocals) were killed and the rest of the band was severely injured. October 20, 1977, was truly a sad day for rock.
