There isn't any gold in lithium batteries except the small flat round 3v lithiums have a low carat plating on the outer covering on some , not worth the effort unless you're going after the lithium and cobalt and just collect the small amount of gold plate extrapolated on so reverse electroplate 8 carat, there's gold in anything connecting to the lithium batteries in pins and connectors right down to the connectors on the dc motors , even if the material appears brass collect it and it can dekt with after

@@guytelfer1353 I collect the dust as well, from pins and chips both. But I do more of a bulk elimination method, not keeping every single thing like you. Your metals are going to be spread out among all your ziplocks, so I don't know how you would concentrate them. With IC chips, I do a mass gravity separation, usually in a 5 gallon bucket to get rid of most of the carbon and then a blue bowl to get rid of 90% of the light stuff. I catch all the heaviest powder in a bucket underneath. Sometimes I have to grind that powder more than once and run it again. I only want to end up with the smallest copper pins and bond wires. I don't keep anything else. Then, I use a 1000 mesh screen to get rid of the pins. I end up with mostly gold and some dust. The way you are doing it, I would guess you are going to have to do a chemical separation with a nitric acid leach. That will eat the silver, palladium and base metals, leaving you with some platinum, gold and a whole bunch of silica dust. Watch out for metastatic acid, though, and crystals crashing out of your solution s.

@tammyjeffreywilliam , there shouldn't be platinum in anything I'm working with except the hard drives, they use germanium, gallium, silicon, copper, gold, silver and aluminum in ic chips Google says , and there's fiberglass , carbon, plastics, ceramic and stainless steel as well I only presoaked the chips previous to crushing for the legs then incinerated, gravity separated visually in a clear cone shaped bottom glass beaker incinerated again dropping in cold water fractures the silicon and germanium freeing up more microparticles Carbon and ceramic nano-particles are smaller than micro particles we can't see unless there's a accumulative amount the clear cone shaped glass is a game changer

@@guytelfer1353 yes, yes, you know all the terminology. But NO amateur refiner can capture and concentrate every metal used. Most only concentrate on one or two. Anything more complicated than that requires more equipment and expertise. And pins just don't have that much gold anyways unless they are military grade. I just hope you have a good plan to recover, concentrate and then refine some actual precious metals. I would hate to see you give up (as I have a time or two) or end up wasting your time.
@guytelfer1353
@guytelfer1353 21 күн бұрын
@tammyjeffreywilliam , you just made the point, they only recover the 2 and dispose of the rest, you know why the recyclers want your junk(hydrolic) because they recover it themselves, the weights of each material causes the same material to consolidate leaving 2 different materials one would be the majority and the other which should be a small amount that clearly stands out, what I'm pretty sure I've isolated palladium without using solvents because I processed 2 completely different materials (ic chips and mlcc and micrcomponents) and came up with a black material of almost a similar capture that I estimated to be between 1 and 5 mesh and different acting material between 10 and 20 mesh 25 and 50 mesh 50 to 75 and 75 to 100 , anything below 1 mesh is water soluble but doesn't remain in the water , the powders that have cemented out are -1 mesh, 1 mesh is the median between a gas and a solid the weight of water starts the weight scale for gasses, so when you isolate(cementing, filtering, incinerating ect) a certain material dry it out then put it back in water if you don't have any secondary material clouding the water it's 24 carat something spin it in a bottom cone shaped glass and the heavier material will settle 1st the second type of heavy material will settle 2nd even if there's no cloudy water

At 4:58, misspoke, the 2 materials are different with different weights and separated with water, the 2 black materials are in the range of -10 & +10 mesh or we can say 1 to 10 mesh, when the top layer of 2 materials is lighter water picks up the top layer and pour it off, the median between water(a Gas) and solid is 1 mesh, water is antigravity, all ic&mlcc material that was light enough and suspended in water , screened through a wire 100 mesh screen with water anything bigger was incinerated more , some material was captured in a 10, 25 and 50 mesh food grade wet using the opposite side of food mesh as you would with food. I had mentioned in a video there is some base metals in the bags as well as you can see nearly 24carat something base precious or organic, this is what's left after a tractor trailer full of scrap electronics approximately 20lbs between the pins and connectors, mlccs , pcb boards , cell phones, laptops, towers, security cameras, camcorders, tablets, tv's, transistors & mosfets

@tammyjeffreywilliam , after incinerated don't pour anything off let it settle as a mud, the professionals pour off that Mudd into the ground along with the microparticles, gold floats in water if fine enough , in solution smb is added to weight down the particles, don't throw away or pour off any chemicals, if you start with 1 gallon of hydrochloric acid after adding water and other stuff to hydro it increases volume and lowers ph after soaking boil off back to 1 gallon of hydro any plastic will drop during boiling off boiling brings back ph any hotter boil you'll boil off hydro from there set lower solid base metal in hydro and it drops out material or cements it out or both, once your hydro is back to original clear and colorless you can reuse it, other than 3 small plastic containers with some mlcc material I used 3 filters a 10, 25 and 50 mesh and filtering fingers and boad material I haven't used any filters on anything because of how small the particles are and camouflaged in black junk material and can be easily thrown away, keep everything , be careful when you boil of water to bring back ph in volume keep a constant eye on it because at a water boil when it's ph is back it will boil over when it's at the point of boiling over take off heat because even when it's half full it'll boil over, collect All material that settles out in any process then fry it in a frying pan into a powder and it can boil over if it's covered so slow boil off the water, if drying out material that has a little hydro left after siphoning off it'll boil over very quick so the temperature has to be on the lowest setting but it will boil off and don't breathe it whether it's water boiling or anything else, have fun

You can speed up video under settings and zoom in to get a closer look if you want, 2x's the speed muffle's the mumbling and see the material drop quicker, different weights of material depends on whether it sinks or remains above the highest point of the solid metal line note: there could be multiple metals remaining above the high material line that suspendes in water longer than the heaviest material, higher concentrations of the same material will settle and compact earlier than a assortment of other metals including carbon fiber plastic and ceramic dust, finally dry over hot plate with a heavy cover (weight) drop hot material in cold water shattering silicon glass the precious metals are electroplated onto leaving smaller fragments grind while hot put material back in water in a cone bottom shaped glass, after settling siphon remaining carbon or ceramic dust or fiberglass that was captured in 100 mesh stainless steel screen wet washed on surface of 1 gallon of water, other materials wet mesh in food grade nylon screen, grinding and incinerating material and choping up 24 carat material leaves tiny particles camouflaged, stainless steel wire is also used and base metals but only to a certain millimeter and isn't compatible with the production of ic chips, there's a lot of stainless steel in e-waste, silver and gold wire is compatible with the ic chips because they're stable in conducting at a millimeter size, I don't think they can make stainless steel wire as small because it's casted or man-made
