Hello, what is the area like at night around the hotel? Is it dark and quiet (no one walks around after 8pm)? Do you think it is safe to walk around here between 8-9pm with a tween kid?

It's pretty quiet but still feels safe. Yeah 100% should be fine as stores usually close around the 8pm mark in Tokyo in general so everyone's still out and about

It depends on your income, credit score etc. I generally max out on 2 credit cards but in the past I have held 3. The main thing I do personally is I don't consecutively apply for multiple. I try to space at least a few months between each one, cancelling my credit card before the 1 year hits. However I try to cancel it 9-12 months in versus 3 months after I get the reward so my credit report doesn't look weird. Once again not financial advice - just what I do personally, hopefully that makes sense.

@ thanks the only reason I ask was because I recently applied online and was denied and you don’t really get an answer as to exactly why. I was thinking maybe you are more attractive without holding a current credit card.

@@aarons1341 Usually if you're declined is to do with your income IMO (unless your credit score is bad and you don't make your repayments on time). Say you go for a credit card that needs a minimum of $60K. Your salary is $60k and you just make the cut off. You will probably get approved for one but if you try to go for a second, you might get declined because in the bank's eyes, you already have one credit card. It's the same principle with mortgages (which is why you can borrow more if you cancel your credit cards). So if you have a higher salary of $100k, there a higher a chance they will let you have another credit card. There's probably a calculator online you can find to determine if you're in the appropriate range. \ That being said - if you just got denied, I would hold off applying for at least 1 - 2 months as it does tag onto your credit score history. Once again not financial advice - just providing you my opinion and view on it :)

Used Airbnb for two yrs average 2 months. Airbnb price is misleading. They take a percentage (large), owner charges cleaning plus have to do your own cleaning, put garbage out etc. I am back to hotels 100%- now. Cheaper, no cleaning, in an emergency or problem some one there to help. Tried it & gave it a shot- not again.

I think usually in this case Airbnb's are cheaper. Sometimes they have an automatic discount but sometimes you can msg hosts and ask for an extended stay discount as well. Hotels offer discounts for extended stays but I don't think they do for 3 month stays ( I could be wrong )

watch them dissolve the company, and same employees getting in new same company. Someone needs to be on watch on their linkedin or sth and avoid any company that hires them since their training sucks. Likely issue with all airline training in South Korea (just my speculation):

I am on the melb to Dallas flight in may 25 for a leisure trip not business. I paid $200 for exit row on top of using points as you get more leg room. I don’t think premium is really worth it where as an upgrade to business definitely is

I didn’t have the chance to fly premium economy on 787 though I flew business class from Sydney to Auckland on 4 November. Sat in 6E in business class. My expierence was terrific and had the ability to adjust the seats on the plane. The food was excellent. They started off with cold dish entree and with some bakery. After that I had a green Thai curry for my main dish and it was mouthwatering. The entertainment system was quite good and they had a wide range of movies, tv shows (from Stan, Paramount, Netflix) and music. In addition there are 9 games in the arcade section which was a bit of a disappointment. The flight map looks very good and shows local time, distance to destination, temperature and cockpit view. However I think qantas could do much better by displaying the latitude and longitude, if people are interested in geography. Qantas could improve on their map system. Overall, the Panasonic ex3 is very good, however on some occasions the touch screen can be unresponsive on few times.
