Sonics had to trade him. Scotties main value offensively is being a point-forward, and that was not going to happen with Payton there And Scottie would not be known as one of the greatest of all time if he was in Seattle behind Payton and Kemp

Gervin was definitely the master of the finger roll. Clyde Drexler had one of the best finger rolls as well. James Worthy was pretty good too, but didn’t have that extra flip of the wrist.

I'm missing something here like where is Isaiah's apology for the way he talked about magic after his diagnosis? It's late maybe I didn't read the notes I don't know.

Wilt had the ugly big fingerroll. But Ice could make a fine shot from 3 point range and soft off the glass. Ice was a class act.

The first half of this video literally talks about how MJ relays developed pippen. The real question is who on the Sonics would’ve brought that out if Pippen? Pippen was not good his first three seasons.

My 'honest' opinion: scotty was not this highly regarded player coming into the league. I think if he would have been drafted anywhere else other then the bulls hed be an average player. I think pippen had the tools but mike pushed him to be consistent and how to be intense and to be ready for big moments.

Exactly! Most of the people in the comments are so naive to think Pip would have been the same player if he stayed with the Sonics. I'm a 52 yo Southside Chicago native and saw Pippen's first 3 years in the league and it wasn't pretty.

As a Center in HS I obviously looked up to the big guys out there and practiced Kareem's sky hook to that level that it became automatic. The second move I've practiced for years was the Iceman's finger roll. To this day I still can't do it. The finger roll is the smoothest, most elegant yet toughest move to learn. I clearly failed but it looks amazing when Gervin did it.

Scottie would not have been the Scottie we all knew with Jordan. MJ was MJ with or without Scottie. Crazy numbers scoring and efficiency. He came into the league that way. Scottie however came into the league averaging single digits bench riding player. It was MJs influence on Scottie's game that changed things for him. A lot of Scottie's game mimicked MJ's. Not the other way around.

@@djbhe the guy was 3rd place in MVP voting when Jordan left. Jordan is my GOAT but this is a childish take you have. Pippen defended the best player, watch every single finals in full and tells pippen didn’t roll out the red carpet for Jordan
