I know it's an old comment, but I never considered it a coincidence that "Vir" is Latin for a heroic man (also the root of "virtue").

definitly one of my top favourite scenes as well i celebrated it when he got his wish and his look over the shoulder before he actually DOES wave the way he said he would. almost had tears in the eyes from laughing so hard

One of my favorite scenes. It shows Vir isn't as clueless as he sometimes seems, he's just a truly good person.

They're all amazing sadly why this series will never be remade because you could never find adequate replacements for so many amazing actors

Exactly. Without star trek, B5 never would have existed. And without B5, it's arguable that DS9 (the best star trek series, in my subjective opinion) also would have never left the ground. Both shows owe their best moments to each other and they BOTH ROCK.

Others have shown that Star Trek could not have happened without earlier ground-breaking classics like The Forbidden Planet.

Without Buck Rogers, Star Wars, Flash Gordon, Forbiden Planet, etc... Star Trek would not exist. So really, B5 owes to those far more then to Star Trek.

@@knotsnights6940 actually, it is not arguable. DS9 stole about 75% of its plot from JMS pitching B5 to the producers who basically laughed at hm about a scifi series set on a station then about 2yrs later, they premiere DS9 using a huge chunk of the plots JMS had shown them.

16:9 is the original format, it was cropped to 4:3 for TV. It was done that way deliberately. This is why the actors often seem crowded in the center in 16:9.

Yes, 4:3 is the ultimate answer. Now to find the ultimate aspect ratio question...

Have you even listened to the words spoken? I'm an atheist myself, but this enlightened me in ways I could not imagine before. It put words where before there where only thoughts and opinions. Thank you, jms, for putting this in my absolute favourite series... I'm currently into my third complete collection, having burnt the previous two to an unwatchable grey mass by watching it so often over the last twenty years. There is so much wisdom to be gathered here, and the human condition was never better brought into the spotlight.
