The best algorithm is half your age plus seven years is the youngest one should go. Anyone that age would agree that 20 and 17 is kinda weird, but defensible. Half your age plus six years is liable to piss some people off, but the most exceptionally harmonious match ups could brave the tide - love conquers all in the end. But still, if we hear a 22 is dating a 17, most people are like WTF? The “half plus seven” year algorithm works great into older ages like 40 with 27 - weird, maybe gross, but not what many would judge as wrong. Somewhere around 50 to 60 with a 32 or 37 people stop GAF. Still, if you’re the older person, remember there’s a law and then take a good look at your partner and their parents. It’s always a good idea to do this because the parents are a forecast of things to come. But consider the law can be exploited as an instrument of violence upon you, even if you are 18 and she’s 17. Would she or her parents call cops to be ‘right’ and or ‘win’ in a fight down the road? Do you have an image problem with authority? If yes, then fuck no. Anything that’s really worth it will still be worth it down the road. Always, try to seek a peer. Would rather be yourself from five years ago? Probably not, because that you hopefully sucks compared to the you that you’ve become. So why spend time with someone that doesn’t get it on your level?
