Love the ferns everywhere. Miss the lower mainland mtb trails...moved to the Kootenays and had to get a dirt bike.

Just picked up my new 2024 300 XC-W. I rode Malcolm Smith and Yamaha plus some other single track today. Ran out at 53 miles. Not good. Definitely an issue here in my mind.

Agree the mileage could be better, the tank/pump design is not as big of a problem people are making it out to be. I have other reports of people getting 70 miles on a tank.

Had an older version of this bike and it was my favorite over the 4 ktms I had before it. Now looking at electric - wish me luck and enjoy.

Man I loved every minute of that! What an amazing place. You seem to be pretty comfortable on the Husky.

Thanks. I'm really gelling with the new KTM/Husky chassis. Makes me want to replace my 4T as well.

I rode there last week. 100 miles over 3 days. The stark was fun but my 200 was easier to ride since it was slippery.

I’m told it was pretty clear two weeks prior. All the greenery grows so fast this time of year.

You should make the sketchy parts you cut out of the video into shorts. Like blooper shorts.

I’m not a fan of the whole KZbin shorts concept but that’s a pretty good idea.

Wow I miss the coast and the mountains. Alberta has some pretty good trails but I don’t think they hold up against bc or our neighbours to the south. Thanks for all the rad videos, so cool to see the awesome variety and beautiful scenery you get to enjoy on a bike!

Alberta has some unbelievable rides as well, just a much shorter season than we have on the coast.

Bummer. Mine runs amazing. Only complaint is the fuel range could be a little better.

@@PNWEnduro right, I went through a tank of gas on a 30 mile ride the other day. Used to get 55 easy out of my tpi

Yes.

I’ve got 5 friends with tbi bikes that are fouling plugs, the new mapping on the 24 bikes runs crazy rich in the lows and lean in the highs. They need to figure this out so everyone doesn’t have to send there ecu’s to tsp or slavens for a remap.

As a suspension tuner I agree 100% Kyb is good but performs differently on various brands of bikes. As for fit and finish WP uses better higher quality parts, piston holders, etc. the KYB has the kashima finish on cartridge which is nice. Also every year and manufacturer specs how there KYB works, same as the new WP fork is different per bike. So don’t assume it’s going to be the best just because of the name. Having it custom valved to unlock the potential is key
@PNWEnduro8 күн бұрын
Both brands can be great with the proper tune. It’s seems more often the valving on KYB be it on Beta, Sherco or whatever is set up too stiff while a lot of people are happy with the stock valving on the new WP without having to spend more money.

I picked up my first 4T bike in a decade recently (KX250x), and I'm really loving it. Very different from the 300 2T bikes I've been riding for awhile, but it's a great change and a ton of fun.

What's the handlebar bag you are using and what do you typically keep in there for these rides?
@PNWEnduro11 күн бұрын
Trailbound, the smaller pack he sells. I keep my phone and a couple Allan keys and a stubby 8mm and 10mm wrench.

I’ve never gone on a long ride to where I’m using 98% of the fuel in the tank anyway? Why would you let it get down that low to begin with? I don’t know how you fellas treat your car or truck but keep that shit topped off when you can. Same principle.
@PNWEnduro12 күн бұрын
A lot of rides in the mountains are big loops, you have no choice but to do 60+ miles so topping up fuel is not an option. If you do these kind of rides this is a legitimate concern and possibly a deal-breaker for some riders.

I notice in one of your more recent comments that you’ve now reverted back to GoPro. I moved over to DJI OA4 after watching many influencer / paid for KZbin comparisons. After looking at my own OA4 footage I returned the cameR and got a GP11. No one seemed to mention what I’m guessing is a compression issue with the OA3/4. If you look at road texture, grass texture, snow and the clouds, all the detail is gone / smoothed out. Grass often looks solid, roads look smooth where there’s grit, clouds look mushy and hills in the background looked like they’d been painted at times. Unfortunately something that’s often glossed over on the many influencer reviews. Am now happy with my GoPro 11. I’ve even bount the DJI mounting bracket to replace the GoPro’s so best of both worlds. (Plus GPS with the 11)
@PNWEnduro15 күн бұрын
Comments here seem to be about 60/40 in favor of the GP. I really wanted the DJI to work out as it's easier to use and possibly more reliable (although my first one was faulty). In the end, two things with the DJI were dealbreakers, the lens, wide view is not wide enough and ultra wide has a bad fisheye effect. Also there is no good option for audio where the media mod on the GP works excellent and is reasonably priced. I try show honest and unbiased reviews, a lot of camera reviews out there are just paid advertisements unfortunately.
