The north bank bogs were a sight to behold on matchdays

I was a Northbanker. I remember standing on railway sleepers, and you had to be very careful, because some were not whole. There was no covering over the North Bank, so when it rained you got very wet. No floodlights either, so midweek games had to kick off early. Thursday was early closing day in Swansea, so that day was chosen by the Club for it's home weekday games. Huge crowds would flock to The Vetch in those days. It was my second home.

Haven't seen this for a while - thanks! (And why did i not know what to do with my hands when they were filming?)

I find it really sad when these old grounds get demolished because they have character, I was there in 89/90 for an away game.

It was the Vetch... not the London Palladium.

The Palladium wasn't a patch on The Vetch Field.
