Happy New Year! If you are reading this, I want you to know that you were not & are not alone in your pain. On December 31st, 2023, I lost my beloved hen Suavesita. She had been that year's 4th loss. I prayed for a year with no loss, and though 2024 was hard, no body died. 2024 was the first year in four years that I did not have anyone die on me. I hope 2025 will be a year of happiness for you, with no pain of any kind, and no loss. You deserve pure joy. You show a love for your ducks that almost no one else has. Whenever someone criticizes me for loving my chickens so much, I turn to your channel. Know that Munchkin will always be in our thoughts. She won't be forgotten.

Happy New Years Chrissie, I hope this year is full of abundance & not loss. I lost some really special ducks & chickens in 2024. But there are special chicks hatched I'm hoping to get one. Tiny 5" high Seramas. It seems every channel I followed that had an animal as the star , lost it's shiny star. Be it horse, duck, cockatoo, monkey, cat, chicken, wolf, all of them gone in 2024. I pray 2025 brings healing & a little joy. An arson fire took everything I owned, all my T shirts and plushie I ordered from you too. Stay strong & positive , you are such a sharp young woman, I see you moving forward & becoming more successful at doing what you love so much. With Love & Blessings. ... here's to 2025. 🦆🦆🪿🐓🐣🐥

The flock I started 2024 with and the flock I’m starting 2025 with are very different. The beginning of this year was extremely difficult with what felt like endless vet appointments for multiple members of the flock. I was absolutely devastated when despite our best efforts, Munchkin passed away at the vet. To say the least, it was a really difficult time for me. Thankfully things started to turn around when my friends at Metzer Farms sent me Pancake, Blueberry, and Blackberry. The three of them have brought so much joy to me this year, and I truly believe Munchkin played a part in selecting each of them for me. I have so much to be grateful for this year including: - Every single veterinarian & technician that helped my flock 🩺 - Rescuing my chukar partridge Beep-Beep - The help of my friend Audrey in finding me a partner for Beep-Beep (Honk-Honk) - My book getting published 📕 🎉 - Starting the garden I’ve always dreamed of having 🍅🥒 - The help of my family & friends in building a pen for my ducks so for the first time in 3 years I live with them again❤️ - Adopting Oatmeal & Loaf from Good Sprout Rescue & Sanctuary - Getting my first pigeons! 🐦 - Meeting my chicken besties in person (@2guysandsomeland)🐔 - Attending the National Poultry Show🦆 - Welcoming Marshmallow & S’more into my flock (and my bestie quarantining them & driving them 8 hours home for me) - All of YOU for sticking by me this year and sending words of encouragement when I needed it most🥹💗 - And of course, Duck Dad asking me to marry him at the coolest place in the world (Sylvan Heights Bird Park)💍 I can’t wait to see what 2025 will bring! (I may already have a surprise in store but you’ll find out next year😉🐥)
